VANITY- ABC News "Good Morning America" is Deliberately Misleading America This Morning on Stem Cell Research

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions

Sorry for the vanity but I am so mad this morning. The ticker at the bottom of GMA has a sentence about the Embryonic Stem Cell Bill that is being debated and how President Bush has promised to veto it. The next sentence is about researchers in Brazil using a promising procedure to treat young diabetics. GMA even uses the words " so they won't have to use insulin shots". The only problem is that GMA doesn't mention that this treatment is USING THE KID'S OWN STEM CELLS, ADULT STEM CELLS.

So at best, this continues to show a lack of understanding of stem cell research, between adult/cord blood stem cells versus embryonic stem cells.

At worst (which is what I believe of them) they are deliberately lying and misleading the American public to drive a particular political agenda.

I have already called ABC and left a message of outrage, I even got to a live person on the National News desk.

I called and emailed Fox News. I plan to call my rep. and my senators.

I am sooooo tired of the lies the media tells and of them getting away with it. I am sooo tired of the public being so easily mislead. Sorry for my rant this morning!

How can you tell when the Drive-By Media is lying? Their lips move.

The problems with biased reporting will be getting a lot worse. As long as there are no consequences, that they perceive, the MSM will continue their walk over the cliff.

The question is whether some honest media will come along and take another bite out of their apple. I believe Americans are hungry for unbiased media that is ruthlessly truthful. Sadly, they are getting far less than that from the MSM.
