(2007-04-19) Yesterdays Supreme Court ruling in Gonzales v. Carhart upholding the right of Congress and state legislatures to regulate abortion and, in particular, to ban partial-birth abortion, is a blade to the back of the head of every woman in America, according to Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY.
I know I speak for my sisters across the nation, said Sen. Clinton, when I say that I feel like someone grabbed me by the ankles, and jammed a pair of scissors into the base of my skull and then just sucked my brains out. This is devastating to our freedoms and our sense of who we are as the largest minority group in America.
Mrs. Clinton derided the justices who comprised the majority in the 5-4 ruling as a gang of callous right-wingers who slaughtered the civil rights of women just as we are about to experience a new birth of freedom with the election of the first female president.
All that potential, all that hope is now tossed down the garbage chute, she said, and all because five selfish judges decided that their so-called right to choose supersedes the life of the womens movement. Its despicable.
Not to diminish your (valid) point, but the US annual number is around 1.2 million or so.
There are about 2 million abortions per year in the US, not 35 million, but the thoughts you expressed remain true.
Satire at its finest.
TCB-Ouch! Your first post ever and you fall for Scappleface sarcasm. Welcom aboard.
Does Scott Ott ever do bad satire? If so, I haven’t seen it. Brilliant, as usual.
Some smartest woman in the world. I would dumbest woman in the world.
Remember how the libs were all worried about a person feeling pain during execution during injection?
The same libs don’t want to hear about the baby feeling pain.
The left really is beyond satire — I thought this was real for a few seconds, and thought “wow, Shrillery is really going over the top with her rhetoric yet again” — but it really does sound like her and her ilk.
Ohhhh, good description of the beast.
We must never bear false witness against or slander others. But I figure the Lord doesn’t mind calling a spade a spade. I have enough to worry about my own salvation. But not only are we allowed to attack our enemies, we have a moral obligation to do so. If our well-being and livle hood is threatened, we must “fight the good fight”.
I’m so glad that you seem to like that fat, ugly, old, lying POS.
Now that’s just devastating in its basic truthfulness!
Best Scrappleface, ever!
Evil is evil. She goes against everything our Great United States is all about. She is an enemy of our country. I will fight her.
Mrs. Clinton derided the justices who comprised the majority in the 5-4 ruling as a gang of callous right-wingers who slaughtered the civil rights of women just as we are about to experience a new birth of freedom with the election of the first female president.
Her way of thinking is that the slaughtered innocent babies can’t vote for her evil idaes so she could care less about them.
Nobody has big enough hands to grab Mrs. Bill Clinton by the cankles.
“How come we, as a nation, are outraged when one gunman kills 32 people, and we arent outraged when 55 million women kill unwanted babies?”
Well said; at least the college students can defend themselves to some degree (barring unconstitutional campus gun bans).
That would be a fantastic idea- except I don’t think I could bring myself to do that even to a cow. I can’t imagine how a ‘human’ can do that to a baby. I just hope I never meet one face-to-face.
Correction: In the US, there have been 48,589,993 abortions since Roe v. Wade — the 55 million is an estimated worldwide figure.
