Are Democrats Above the Law?

Yesterday, the AP reported that all charges had been dropped against Phillip Thompson, an aide to Senator Jim Webb who was arrested on March 26, 2007 after Capitol Police spotted a loaded pistol and two loaded magazines during a routine X-Ray scan of Senator Webb’s briefcase at the entrance to the Russell Senate office building. District of Columbia law prohibits carrying a handgun or concealed weapon without a license. U. S. Attorney Jeff Taylor announced that “…we do not believe that the essential elements of the crime of carrying a pistol without a license can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.” In a statement released after the U.S. Attorney’s announcement, Senator Webb stated that ”…I believe that this incident was an inadvertent oversight and I am pleased that the authorities in the District of Columbia have now reached the same conclusion." This resolution of the Webb incident was just the latest in a series of favorable outcomes for Democrats involved in possibly criminal behavior. Most Freepers are well aware of Democratic improprieties: Rep. William Jefferson’s freezer stuffing escapades; Senator Reid’s questionable land deals and connections to Jack Abramoff; Speaker Pelosi’s failure to report her role as an officer of a family trust, in violation of a non-profit disclosure laws for members of Congress; the theft of Michael Steele’s credit records by the DSCC, run by Senator Shumer; Rep. Conyers use of his political staff as babysitters and personal valets; the spiraling fortunes of Rep. Alan Mollohan (WVa) as a result of possibly funneling taxpayer money into non-profits he had a personal interest in. The common thread among the aforementioned Democrats is that ALL are currently still in office. Compare this to the growing collection of Republican carcasses: Tom Delay, Scooter Libby, Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, etc. etc. By the way, an indictment of Bernard Kerik is anticipated shortly, just as the ’08 Presidential campaign heats up. The Bush administration is being questioned about whether the recent firings of eight U.S. Attorneys was political. Perhaps a better question would be: IS OUR JUSTICE DEPT. POLITICAL? ARE DEMOCRATS ABOVE THE LAW?

Inadvertant oversight? Can’t be proven? Either he had a gun or not. Cut and dry. I’d never see the light of day if I walked in with a gun.

ARE DEMOCRATS ABOVE THE LAW?

Yes, of course, because if you're a Democrat, it's DIFFERENT.

Are Democrats Above the Law?

District of Columbia law prohibits carrying a handgun or concealed weapon without a license.

U. S. Attorney Jeff Taylor announced that “…we do not believe that the essential elements of the crime of carrying a pistol without a license can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.”

In a statement released after the U.S. Attorney’s announcement, Senator Webb stated that ”…I believe that this incident was an inadvertent oversight and I am pleased that the authorities in the District of Columbia have now reached the same conclusion."

This resolution of the Webb incident was just the latest in a series of favorable outcomes for Democrats involved in possibly criminal behavior.

Most Freepers are well aware of Democratic improprieties:

Rep. William Jefferson’s freezer stuffing escapades;

Senator Reid’s questionable land deals and connections to Jack Abramoff;

Speaker Pelosi’s failure to report her role as an officer of a family trust, in violation of a non-profit disclosure laws for members of Congress;

the theft of Michael Steele’s credit records by the DSCC, run by Senator Shumer;

Rep. Conyers use of his political staff as babysitters and personal valets;

the spiraling fortunes of Rep.

Perhaps a better question would be:

IS OUR JUSTICE DEPT. POLITICAL? ARE DEMOCRATS ABOVE THE LAW?

Well, the Republicans should carry their loaded guns into government buildings since it is apparently no crime.

Read Isaiah 5:20-26. Time to be on the right side of Jesus.

Democrats above the law? Only for a short time.

Remember, Elephants Never Forget.

Donkeys (aka J@ck@sses) have selective political memories.

(Waiting for journalist Carl Bernstein’s “tell all unauthorized biography” on Hillary R Clinton. He has unearthed examples of where she has played fast and loose with the facts about her “personal and political life” according to the publisher, Knopf. June 19 at your favorite bookstore.)

Told you before: Hillary tops out (this bio may be the catalyst), Baraka’s full history becomes known (his own books are full of discrepancies about his own life and beliefs), and the Dems are left with the “savior of the earth” himself, Al Gore, whom they will beg to be the presidential nominee.

Don’t know yet who their Veep will be. Should Baraka’s past not be brought to light until after the election, it could be him, but I predict that between the first presidential primaries and the Dem-Convention, Baraka will be exposed for who he really is. And potentially, Al Gore’s people could surreptitiously be the anonymous reporters.

Democrats don’t live in the REAL world; theirs is a kind of Monopoly world where they have perpetual Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free cards, the dice are loaded and landing on GO gets you millions.

Cynthia McKinney? Jefferson still maintains his committee position while similarly situated Republicans have stepped down.

Are dems above the law? Let’s ask those 40+ that were connected with Clinton who ‘committed suicide’ by cutting off their own heads, shooting themselves in the back of their heads, left resturaunts only to be gunned down in ‘drive by’ shootings, who had their homes broken into and had key evidence stolen and were killed in ‘random robberies’ etc. Above the law? Oh heck no... banish the thought.

Dumbocrats also believe in the Monopoly theory of economics: “There is a finite amount of money in the country. If an American becomes rich that is because he or she took it away from someone who is ‘less fortunate’.” Their class warfare efforts are based on stupid people believing such garbage.
