On September 17, 2001, six days after the worst Islamic terror attacks ever on US soil, President Bush stood next to CAIR’s Nihad Awad at the Islamic Center of Washington DC, and pronounced ‘Islam is Peace’.
Nihad Awad is second from the right. Here’s an excerpt from the President’s speech:
The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war. ...
Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear cover must be not intimidated in America. That’s not the America I know. That’s not the America I value.
I’ve been told that some fear to leave; some don’t want to go shopping for their families; some don’t want to go about their ordinary daily routines because, by wearing cover, they’re afraid they’ll be intimidated. That should not and that will not stand in America.
Tomorrow President Bush is returning to the Saudi-funded Islamic Center, to address its rededication ceremony—and further legitimize radical Islamic groups masquerading as “moderates,” without once asking them to renounce their openly-expressed support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hizballah.

And at this event, Bush plans to announce that Tony Blair will be the new Mideast envoy for the Quartet: Blair to be named to join Mideast envoy.
The official said that after the quartet announcement, President Bush would likely address Blair’s appointment at a speech he is to give at a mosque and Islamic center in Washington.

America is a land of many faiths, and we welcome and honor the Muslim faith in our nation. Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens. Your commitment to your faith reminds us all of the precious gift of religious freedom in our country. America is a more hopeful nation because of the talents and generosity and compassion of our Muslim citizens.

Any particular reason my post was deleted?
(This was the post: Is that a picture of Jorge praying towards Mexico City? )
I’m new here and if that violated some posting rule would like to know what it is so I can avoid in the future, thanks.
I’m also curious why your post was deleted. I can’t imagine a legitimate reason.
Perhaps I should wear a bag over my head for twice voting for an arrogant man who thinks patriotic U.S. citizens are the enemies of peace and right.
We should have a law? admendment? that no closer relative than sixth cousin, twice removed, of a former president can be president.
He’s trying to drive his approval down to 15%.
Am I stuck in the Twilight zone?
Yeah, in 2004 I definetly just did the lesser of two evils, and even then only because of the war and I didn’t want to inflict Kerry on the troops. In 2000 I actually thought he might be a good president.

“He’s going to speak at the same Islamic Center whose head previously claimed Bush was behind 9-11!!!! It doesn’t get much more crazy stupid than that.”
He probably realizes that islam now has the bomb and to be extra nice to them. He didn’t learn appeasement doesn’t work and obviously being influenced by his cabinet members. I would rather see his wacky, cowboy tactics at all times then this poor excuse for idiotic policy. Other countries hate us not because of Iraq, but our President is a loose cannon and his intentions to either make peace or war are always in question.
He’ll be Impeached next year before the elections.
The rats have to do it to make their defense of Clinton less stinky.
Carter pardoned the Vietnam draft dodgers; I’m waiting for something just as disgraceful next year.
They have nothing against him on the war or anything else, so though they love to blow smoke, there is nothing there to impeach about.
Not liking a war or a war being hard isn’t actionable.
“Im really starting to believe Bush is merely a puppet of the illuminati.”
I don’t know about that in a true sense of the word considering the organization doesn’t formally exist. The freemasons and bilderburgs have always held fantastic power through economics. Think centuries of successful banking. His thought process does seem to mirror the same transnational thinking of every person on earth hooked into debt or servitude to the almighty dollar as the both groups so perhaps you are on to something.
It seems that the true nature of the threat has surpassed him. As with the illegal intruder problem on the border, he appears too shallow to comprehend that the enemy is animal clever and deceitful.
I was one who used to have faith that Dubya was just rope-a-doping the opposition. Now I am beginning to conclude, he is just a dope.
It has reached the point that I wonder if Kerry could have been any worse.
We seem to do much better when Congress and the President do not work together (to sell out the U.S.).
For the people, by the people ?
Amnesty means that youve got to pay a price for having been here illegally, and this bill does that. George W, Bush 6/26/07
Doesn't look like Alzheimer's, but it sure does look like a severe stress reaction. He has lost his moorings due to the relentless criminal assaults from the malignant left and the idiot enthusiasts of the media. He has gone over the top and is taking it out on all of us.
I'm looking at the last 6 years though a different lens, and and it ain't a pretty picture.
Me too, and guess what--he was. That alone should scare the holy bejeeziz out of all Americans.
