My. my the green eyed monster is alive and well. Actually I have little use for word, tho I do have it, at least the 2000 version. Maybe you forget that that bloat-ware is actually written by M$. I have not done a clean install since OS X 10.1 came out, and I have moved my entire system to 4 different computers, only doing the software update.
Try doing that with Windows. And I don't recall a crash of any kind. So go and whine to someone else, I have heard it all for years. I just keep on doing work on my computer, while you guys work on yours. I have Windows machines, I am have parallels running Windows on my MacIntel, though I have no idea why. it is an ugly system fraught with problems. Fortunately i can just make a disk image of the Windows System and just replace it with a fresh copy when it crashes.
A little less green eyed than when we last spoke. After two years in the Mac saddle I only find minor annoyances.

Drudgereport is fine, but to go there you should have your system in the same status you should, when you go to any other site.
Turn off scripting. Turn off popups. Don’t allow your browser to install software.
But that’s good for all sites. Drudge is no better or worse than most sites. Except FR of course. None of that here. :)

Just for everyone’s information the Mikes hosts file site no longer exists and it seems that it has been scrubbed from all locations where it may have previously been available. It’s last update was in 2007.
In any case, there is another hosts file that is still being updated monthly at: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
These files are a great way to speed up page loading by not downloading unwanted ads and in many cases also block known sites that cooties on your system try to send out to.
My guess is it’s the “Ads” on his site, his ads are often from irrespectable companies and probably contain java script cross site scripting and so on.
