Yeah, totally clueless. The constrained life of a very liberal, very junior Congressperson is probably not the venue the “attention whore” is looking for.

Hope she decides to run. Not that she has much chance. Even SF liberals can figure out the difference between returning a very senior House member for another term and sending in a brand spanking new member to start all over again at the bottom of the seniority chain. (That difference is the reason why, no matter how incapacitated he becomes, Senator Byrd will be re-elected by WV voters until he dies.)

However, “they” might just be “mad” (in at least two meanings of the word) enough to do “it.” Once she announces, I may have to send her some money, just for the irritation it will cause Pelosi, if nothing else.

I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me.

Sheehan's ignorance is showing. She doesn't have to live in Pelosi's district in order to run for Congress there, as long as she lives anywhere in California. There is no residency requirement for Congress in the U.S. Constitution. Indeed, Sheehan could run in Pelosi's district even if she lived outside of California prior to her actual election (per Article I, Section 2):

No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the age of twenty five years, and been seven years a citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state in which he shall be chosen.

Someone please tell Cindy that she doesn't have to move, so that shouldn't be an inhibiting factor at all.

She hasn’t been thinking this grandiose crap up all along herself. The chief puppeteer here needs to be exposed. I thought she was a buffoon before, but this is beyond ridiculous.

I understood the article to mean she would challenge Pelosi for her House seat.

The House Speaker is not legally required to be a House member, although yes, mounting an independent bid for the speakership would be nearly impossible.

If Pelosi lost her House seat, she could retain the speakership — although yes we are a long way from Sheehan beating Pelosi.

The thought of having to see that sad, homely face on TV is enough to make you throw the set out the window. UGGHHHH.

If it could divide the democrat party and bring in a good republican conservative, now that’s not such a bad idea...

This is only an hour and half drive for me. You can darn well bet that if this does go down, I’ll be bringing a carload of friends out there to walk precincts for Cindy.

The veneer is coming off the Democrat party and I want to do everything I can so the people in this country can see what’s underneath.

All I could do was laugh...heartily....one loon running against another loon....too good, and a very sad commentary on the quality of political leadership in California. Sadly, no matter who wins that contest, Sheehan or Pelosi, the people of that district are showing American just how pathetic they are.
