Screwing the law-abiding, tax paying CITIZENS with their own money.

How about this kind of scholarship? One for someone who has no criminal record and who (Or whose parents) always pay their taxes?

Some enterprising lawyer(s) should organize a class action suit on behalf of both legal NM residents who are paying full in-state tuition, and legal US citizens from outside of NM who are paying full out-of-state tuition there. It’s outrageous that children of life-long legal US taxpayers pay tuition while illegals don’t!

[p.s. I usually join in the condemnation of excessive litigation, but in this case it’s not “excessive” — it would simply be a tool to try to bring pressure on the injustices involved in ILLEGAL and IMMORAL state activity, not the usual b.s. John Edward type of frivolous lawsuit.]

Ahh, the power of the internet...

High Schools Host College Fairs

Local High Schools Host In-State and Out-of-State College Fairs and Financial Aid Night In-State College Fair Rocky Mountain High School will host the annual district-wide In-State College Fair on Tuesday, September 21, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. in the commons area, 1300 West Swallow Road. Students and parents from all local high schools are encouraged to attend.

The In-State College Fair is an opportunity for students to gather information from universities to begin to narrow their search for schools they want to seek admission to, thus saving time and money. Seniors who are in the initial stage of this process also benefit by having the opportunity to ask questions about programs and scholarships that may be available.

This event showcases most of Colorado’s public and private universities, including major state universities. Every college will have representatives available to answer questions about admission, residence halls, honors programs, department programs, scholarships, learning community housing, and other post-secondary topics.

For more information, contact Char Mulnix, Rocky Mountain High School counselor, at 416-7038.

Out-of-State College Fair On Tuesday, October 5, from 6:30–8:30 p.m., Poudre High School will host the 19th annual Northern Colorado Out-of-State College Fair in the auxiliary gym and commons area, 201 Impala Drive. All Northern Colorado 9th–12th graders and parents are invited to attend.

More than 125 public and private out-of-state colleges will be represented. This is an excellent opportunity for students and parents to visit with college representatives and other experts about programs of study, admissions requirements, scholarships, residence halls, classroom structure, campus atmosphere, and other issues relevant to the college search and selection process.

A list of participating colleges and universities is on the Poudre High School website at http://schoolweb.psdschools.org/phs/counseling/collegefair.htm

For more information, contact Isabel Thacker, Poudre High School counselor, at 416-6046.

Financial Aid Night Fort Collins High School will host its annual district-wide college financial aid information night from 7:00–8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 25, in the Fort Collins High School auditorium, 3400 Lambkin Way. This informational meeting will benefit students and parents from all local high schools who have questions related to general financial assistance with college expenses.

For more information, contact Mark Cummings, Fort Collins High School counselor, at 416-8106.

The list of recipients of these scholarships should be public record.

Time for ICE to pick them up and deport them.

If illegals are undocumented aliens, are drug dealers undocumented pharmacists?

Here in Colorado, we have withdrawn the welcome mat for illegals. If New Mexico wants to be bankrupted by them, that takes them off our hands here. The Land Of Enlightenment is welcome to take care of our unwanted problem.

I hope that fellow from UMKC (University of Missouri, Kansas City)
forcefully pursues and WINS his lawsuit on behalf
of AMERICAN CITIZENS
that can’t get the freebies/goodies offered selectively to ILLEGALS
(in violation of US law).

Funny, the only places I have heard about the lawsuit are...
1. on FOX NEWS
2. on www.freerepublic.com

As I understand it, the “comprehensive immigration reform” bill included
a provision that would have thown this lawsuit out of court.

Let me see if I’ve got this right:

NM resident = in-state tuition
Out-of-state resident = out-of-state tuition
Illegal alien & felon = no tuition required

Makes sense to me. (WTF ???)
