Funnyman Larry David's wife of 14 years has filed for divorce. Laurie David filed court papers in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences on July 13. The 49-year-old An Inconvenient Truth producer is seeking joint custody of their two children, Cazzie, 13, and Romy, 10. Curb Your Enthusiasm star David, who co-created the hugely successful TV show Seinfeld, announced the separation in early June

Larry could loose over 1/2 his carbon credits to Laurie!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

The bad news is she gets half of his Seinfeld $. The good news is the crazy broad will spend most of it on envirowhacko global warming nonsense.

Yep, he lost her when the "rinds were crossed."

Methinks Mrs. David will be found dead next week, surrounded by invitations to her "divorce party."

It’s rumored Laurie had a suitor who referred to her as “breathtaking,” but he later admitted the phrase is often just “something you say.”

GEORGE Divorce is very difficult. Especially on a kid.

JERRY: Uh huh.

GEORGE: Of course, I’m the result of my parents having stayed together, so you never know.

The character of Jackie Chiles was actually based on Johnnie Cochran. Chiles didn't chase ambulances like Edwards and he didn't "poof" his hair.

I recommend he try to shag his tv wife. The Larry David show is excellent comedy, and if you look at the groups regularly skewered on that show, it is hardly liberal propoganda. I would say he goes after Hollywood and other elites, as well as every race, gender, cause and creed I can think of.

The Larry David show is excellent comedy

I've always been a fan of Seinfeld and knew who David was before his HBO show. After watching a coupon of seasons from Netflix, it really became clear who was the driving force behind Seinfeld. Jerry is a good front-man and has a great delivery, but the sheer lunatic genius is pure David.

Even today, 10 years or so since it went off the air, there are funny shows which use subtle, yet derivative, plots and other hints that point back to what were purely unique & singular comedic events.

Either that or cut him to one sheet/day.

The Davids remind me of a wonderful item from NRO a few months back:

Quote of the Day, Yesterday [Jonah Goldberg]

From Wikipedia, a great quote from, Norman Tebbit, a former Thatcher cabinet member:

The word 'conservative' is used by the BBC as a portmanteau word of abuse for anyone whose views differ from the insufferable, smug, sanctimonious, naive, guilt-ridden, wet, pink orthodoxy of that sunset home of the third-rate minds of that third-rate decade, the nineteen-sixties.

Of course, the quote says so much more about liberals than about conservatives, but it captures my particular visceral feeling about what is so incredibly screwed up about them and why they always get it wrong.
