Funnyman Larry David's wife of 14 years has filed for divorce. Laurie David filed court papers in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences on July 13. The 49-year-old An Inconvenient Truth producer is seeking joint custody of their two children, Cazzie, 13, and Romy, 10. Curb Your Enthusiasm star David, who co-created the hugely successful TV show Seinfeld, announced the separation in early June

No way Larry David’s out there. He’s not a divorcee. He’s just a separatee.

That’s a great episode. Like the part where the Canyonero runs a school bus of Boy Scouts off the road, and they salute as their bus is engulfed in flames.

You're right, of course. It just seems really pathetic that two people who don't have to worry about mortgage payments, or health insurance, or gas for their cars, or long lines to board their private plane, or public schools for their children, or any of a million things most people are forced to struggle with daily, still can't make their marriage work.

According to Cindy Adams in the NY Post, she was having an affair with their married handyman.

Two divorces for the price of one.

Let’s see. She’s a loon and adulterous.

Nice.

The handyman knew he hit pay-dirt when the semi attractive lady of the manor was growing bored with her trollish husband.

He’ll be flying on private Lear jets before he knows it.

There are some references in last Sunday's Drudge Radio thread.

From what I recall, she was seen with her Martha's Vineyard building, er carbon footprint expanding contractor, or the like.

The question is — what does Sheryl Crow drive?

Answer: Lance Armstrong away!

According to the July 9 and 12 editions of the NY Post, Cindy Adams on Page Six reported that Laurie David has been having a long-standing (or reclining) affair with the married caretaker of the David's house on Martha's Vineyard. The caretaker is also currently getting a divorce.

Again, it's pathetic that two people with every material struggle erased in their lives still cannot make a marriage work, especially considering they have two children.

Irreconcilable differences” = any political view that comes out of her big fat mouth and the Truth.

I've always liked Gary Chapman's take on that phrase, when Amy Grant filed for divorce from him in the late 90s after 16 years of marriage...

"From my vantage point, we had one irreconcilable difference: I wanted her to stay, and she wanted to leave. Everything else, God could have reconciled."

Great line. People have to learn how to live with each other. A happy marriage is an acquired habit, but it's well worth the pay-off.

And still the best advice is to "choose wisely."

I really don’t like Larry..self indulgent liberal. but in this case, I’m happy for him. Good riddance to his ex, she’s a baba streisand wannabe.
