My husband works in the construction business and we were talking about the illegals last night. He said 10 years ago, blacks did all of the masonary work on the houses for just about every builder he dealt with, now they’re all spanish. I know for a fact the spanish have took jobs away from not only black Americans but white Americans as well, they drove two of our good friends out of businesses they had for many years.
I was thinking about the construction business recently too and how I had several male friends that made a living there (white) and now who nows. Many have had to move on that much is true. The labor and management has been completely taken over by the Spanish speaking. The management is usually the one that can speak English, even if just haltingly. It is very, very sad.
I am shocked more people have not been up in arms much earlier. If they were all legal it would just be a frustration (the tension and adjustment), but many are not citizens of our country and are here illegally and can't even begin to desire to learn our ways and basic English.
