Chill out...you must have missed this story:

LOS ANGELES - If Fred Thompson makes it official and throws his hat in the ring for President, NBC will pull future reruns of "Law & Order" featuring the actor after Sept. 1, executive producer Dick Wolf said yesterday.Wolf, reading from an official NBC statement yesterday, said the rule applies when a person legally qualifies as a candidate.

"If Fred Thompson formally declares his intention to run for President, NBC will not schedule any further repeats of 'Law & Order' featuring Mr. Thompson beyond those already scheduled, which conclude on Saturday, Sept. 1," Wolf said. Wolf assured that NBC would take all "appropriate steps consistent with FCC regulations." Thompson fans would, however, be able to see him in reruns airing on TNT.

NY Daily News

He will announce after Sep 1st, announcing before that would have not only been against FCC regs, but would have cut royalties for the rest of the cast of L&O.

Fred and his pickup truck are welcome in NH anytime. You’ll find a lot of old pickup trucks here in NH. The newer shinier trucks and SUVs are mostly in MA; go ask John Forbes Kerry....

What make, model, and year is Fred’s truck?

The primary date will most likely be January 12. Not much reason to be here until after labor day. Lots of people on vacation, gone for the weekends, etc. Kids aren’t back in school yet...

Having Fred in the race would be a good thing. Romney and Rudy are good candidates, but competition is a good thing...
