If it is Arnold’s advisors who are doing this; they should remember Arnold wasn’t truthful to the people. He ran conservative; but what is really is is a RINO.

People remember liars.

Campaign aides are hired more for their skills and knowledge in the domain of running and organizing a political campaign, and not primarily for their political views—provided their views are not so different from those of the candidate that loyalty might be an issue.

However, aren’t high level staffers such as a communications director often given influential posts in the White House after the election. If Thompson had only hired one or two moderate Republican staffers it wouldn’t be such a problem. However, he seems to have a pattern of hiring staff who lean to the left.

Aw pissant, I really wanted Duncan to catch fire. Now I just want someone in the conservative ballpark who has a chance. Rudi & Romney have to go down. I would not LOL if a Mittwit bad mouths Hunter.

He opposes tort reform. He opposes a marriage amendment. He has been as clear as mud on the border, and the only statement I’ve seen him make on the fence is that he doesn’t think it needs to be built of stone and mortar.

He can call all that crap federalism all he wants. It doesn’t matter, as it plays into the agenda of the left just the same.

As an American conservative, I'm more concerned about the Constitutional agenda, of which federalism is a cornerstone, than about "the agenda of the left" or its flip side. (Although I don't see what federalism has to do with border control, which is a national issue if ever there was one. Did Fred really tie the two together?)

Romney has spoken fondly of Hunter. I’m not sure why he would.

Fred Thompson should not want to be Arnold. I can not think of anything worse.

Fred will have to out-liberal Bush and Guiliani(sp) in order to win enough votes to be President...

Tancredo or Hunter could get enough Democrat and 3rd Party votes to win on the immigration issue alone, (without mentioning Nafta or the WTO) but the Republicans won't support them....

Appears as tho the majority of Republicans want a pro-queer, or pro-abortion, or pro-liberal Rino instead of a pro-American, President...

I'm beginning to think there are more Conservative Democrats than there are Conservative Republicans...

Well, that is much better... than Bill Clinton 'pulling' for Craig!

Whoa! That's a picture... I didn't want...

The one thing I have always worried about is people are rushing in to make the same mistake they always do and that is to vote just for the one they think can win without really thinking about the consequences. They make stars of them without really checking out who they are or what they stand for.

Maybe there isn’t that many quality campaign people left?? We will see what his message is. Seems to be making lots of people nervous.

Pray for W and Our Troops

That’s just it. Fred is probably a really nice guy; but I just don’t believe he will do anything much more than help America on her way to globalization.
