Six years ago, I turned on my television and saw the sickening image of an airplane flying directly into the south tower of the World Trade Center. I did not know that at precisely that moment, somewhere in the skies over the Ohio-Kentucky border, my brother was fighting for his life in the cockpit of his commercial airliner. It would be another 35 minutes before his plane crashed into the Pentagon's west side.

I did find it pretty incredible that MurryMom picked the anniversary of 9/11 to start posting here to FR.

"If you had asked me six years ago what the odds were that Osama bin Laden would still be living out his alloted life........"...blah, blah, blah....

Did the Soviet Union fall with the death of any of its dictators - Lenin, Stalin, etc...?? No. Why? They, as individuals were neither the movement or the institutions that the movement created; and "Al Queda" was created not by Osama but by the movement he is part of. What will happen, to Al Queda, if/when "Osama is caught" - no more than what happened to the Soviet Union when its leaders died - a period of adjustment. Some intelligence people believe that Osama is in fact no longer calling the shots, but keeping his face in the public-top-role serves the movement for now, especially as a distraction.
