I received this in an email from my sister:
On Friday, September 21st at 6PM, there will be a musical tribute and presentation in support of a local solider MIA. It will be held at the San Marcos Plaza Park stage. San Marcos is just south of Austin.
Here is the message attached from the Mayor of San Marcos:
All: Please help bring our community together in support of the San Marcos mother of missing soldier Pvt. Byron Fouty. This event will be filmed to send to Pvt. Foutys fellow soldiers to show support for our troops. The Blue Star Mothers will make a presentation of thanks to the City at this event that will be a musical tribute. The program is comprised of uplifting and patriotic numbers performed by friends and neighbors in our community. There will be short remarks from 2 Veterans sharing the importance of support at home while they are away.
If you have any questions please call me at 353-4633.
Thank you for your help and support!

Pvt. Byron Fouty bump!

FYI!
would be great to have the HOT chapter come to may area.
Good one to support the troops.
I called the Mayor and she told me that it was where “Sights and Sounds” is held in a park behind the Chamer of Commerce.
She is daughter, wife and mother of someone in the military. I said me too!
Take the CM Allen parkway exit and drive thru the Hopkins light and park on the right. I told her that as “the sign lady” as a part of FreeRepublic.com I would like to bring my signs and then people can choose what they want to hold. Just come, be a body.
She wasn’t familar with FR but said, did I need a table? I said... huh, sure. I have a sign that just says FR. so they are giving me a table and an umbrella. I went to the walk thru and the Patriot Guard will be there, a favorite wonderful singer Debbie Daniel will be singing her tribute, “It has always been the soldier” a marvelous song if you have not heard it.
If you are in the neighborhood, please join us. Of course freeping rules apply.
As for the signs, I will bring personal names of other soldier freeps. His name will be added to that list. There will only be support the troops, (I will have counter antiwar signs in the trunk. ) Not expecting any trouble.
The Mayor said all she has heard has been postive and groups she never heard of were coming out of the woodwork (like FR)
I’d love to be able to make this—but have a bad conflict! (When is the HOT chapter going to call another meeting? It’s been far to long.......)
Sorry to hear that Basil, we have busy lives.
As for the meeting, you know we have always been better freepers than meeters :)
We have family coming into town in the next hour. Won’t be able to make this one. A meeting does sound good but I have no idea when. Maybe another BBQ dinner someplace.
