Seems to be fence sitting to me.
They never read what you write. They just have canned responses.
“And when radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh used the term “phony soldiers” I thought that was also wrong.”
No Congressman, you’re wrong since you obviously don’t know the context in which he used the term.
HE is still quoting Rush untruthfully. That’s the sad part.
The difference is that Rush was speaking truth, and MoveOn was lying through their teeth.
Canned response and he STILL is taking Rush’s remarks out of context. A person convicted for impersonating a soldier is a phone soldier. Udall is a conniving SOB and his letter proves it.
Frankly, Mr. Udall many of the asinine and unfortunate utterances come from Congress.
Mr Udall obviously doesn’t know what a phony soldier is.
Maybe, to help clarify it for him maybe if we called
John F’n Kerry a phony hero
- maybe then he get the message.
I’m still waiting for my canned response from Senators Levin and Stabenow, both of which I chastised for signing a letter originated by Dingy Harry to Clear Channel urging the CEO to make Limbaugh apologize.
Same letter I received, except the name of course.
He said that Rush was “wrong” to use the term phony soldiers. Your congressman is a dupe, a useful idiot.
Where was the condemnation for ABC News? Where was the research into WHAT a phony soldier was? Where is the congressional trial for traitors (as described in the Constitution) who give aid and comfort the enemy in a time of war, as those who NEVER SERVED do when they go on record about war crimes they claim to have witnessed and participated in?
U Doll can claim he is serving the Western slope till the cows drive SUV’s but it won’t make bean soup. He does Not
serve /nor represent me . TO be honest NO Democrat represents me- the Salazar brothers might have won an election they hav enot won th ehearts and minds of all of us.
Told her that Udall either commented about an issue he knows nothing about or he was a liar too. That is was good that this was on the net so everyone could see for themselves. She could care less.. (< singsong voice > Oh, well I'll pass your comments on to the congressman < singsong voice >)
Thank you for contacting me. I appreciate hearing from you. Rush Limbaughs insinuation that members of the military who question the Iraq war are phony soldiers serves as another example of how the national debate over our Iraq policy has been largely characterized by overheated rhetoric. In response to this, I joined 40 other Senators in signing a letter to Mark Mays, the CEO of Clear Channel, which syndicates Mr. Limbaughs show, expressing my disappointment in his comments. I believe a vigorous and substantive dialogue on Iraq is warranted, especially given its ramifications at home and abroad. However, impugning the views and the service of our troops only diminishes the chances of achieving a consensus on how we should move forward in Iraq which is what we ultimately need to do. It is past time that we leave our troops out of the politics surrounding this important issue. They deserve nothing less than the thanks and support of a grateful nation. I apply this standard consistently to conservatives and liberals, Republicans and Democrats. I spoke out against MoveOn.orgs personal attack on General David Petraeus, I have registered my objections to Mr. Limbaughs remarks, and I will continue to defend the honor of our men and women in uniform against spurious rhetorical attacks as long as I am in the Senate. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your views. Sincerely, Ken Salazar United States Senator
