The last days on Earth of Abu Osama al-Tunisi apparently were filled with anxiety: “We are desperate for your help,” he said in a letter to al Qaeda chieftains.

The reality is the exact opposite of what the media represent it to be: It is General Petraeus who is the revolutionary, rallying the people and legitimate leaders of Iraq against international terrorist ideologues and their local stooges.
The popular uprising that started a year ago in Anbar will eventually spread through the entire Muslim world.
It will not just affect AQ either. Other sheiks will look at Iraq and see that they, too, can defy Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.
What a nice story to start the day with.
Somebody Photoshop turbans onto these guys...
LMAO!
That is the key. If the President had wavered or the Democrats had succeeded in their efforts to cut the legs out from under our military, our entire strategy would have collapsed like a house of cards.
But the President prevailed and the strategy is working. It has been a wonderful thing to see. We all owe President Bush a debt of gratitude.
Gosh, such sad news for Reid and Pelosi.
Future historians will agree...they’ll also rip the Democrats as the gutless political opportunists they are.
They’re on as much of a roll as the Miami Dolphins are these days.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!
With all of this good news coming from Iraq, who is responsible for making sure Harry (We have lost) Reid doesn’t harm himself?
One of the things I love about President Bush is that he, apparently, doesn’t care a great deal about his poll ratings and is willing to let the historians write his legacy for themselves. He only cares about the country.
I may disagree with him at times, but I am always confident he is doing what he thinks is best for the country.
I found it very hard to understand how otherwise intelligent people thought it was acceptable for Bill Clinton to tie the country into knots in order to establish his “Legacy” (with a capital “L”). Is there anything that can matter less than what historians think of a President 20 years down the line? Why should public policy be made to serve such a meaningless thing?
liberals will always dominate academia
I was hoping he’d go find a bowflex and benoit
I think I was. But I've been taking a little time off for golf...
Guess I shouldn't have left all those knives lying around...
At least we have Victor Davis Hanson. I’m sure there will always be jewels amongst collosal ignorance
Clinton knew his legacy was going to be about a fat intern which was why he was desperate to get that Israeli-Palestinian deal done at the end of his administration.
That new Harry Reid song Rush played yesterday was frigen hysterical.
Yes, I’m sure they are very, very saddened. Amen.
