Couldn’t stand Kuby either but too bad about Curtis. He’s a good guy.

IMUS was brought down by Hillary’s hatchet man, Sharpton.....FOR Hillary’s sake......it will be interesting to see if Imus goes after her still.

Imus is back, our long national nightmare is over.

Does this guy even get ratings??? (I guess he does, but really who listens to his show??)

Imus will return with his longtime newsman, Charles McCord, and other members of his morning team, Citadel said in announcing the move. It did not specifically mention Bernard McGuirk, the producer who instigated Imus on the Rutgers comment and was fired as well.

I knew Charles was a mutation stuck to Imus' arse but I never knew that Imus was Bernards sock puppet. Never too old to learn.

Hasn’t he been neutered by the media? My understanding is that there is at least one host on WABC (Levin) who doesn’t much like him.

"Imus will replace the morning team of Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby on the Citadel Broadcasting-owned station. The pair had hosted the WABC drive-time show for nearly eight years, and Kuby said he was told Thursday afternoon not to show up for work on Friday.

"I've had a fantastic, great run," Kuby said. "Our show has enjoyed the best audience intelligent, compassionate, decent and kind. The new owners don't want that kind of show."

Hmmmmmm. I wonder why Ron was told not to show up for work on Friday?

The folks who listen to him constitute the most valuable demographic in radio. He may not have the largest numbers but his numbers are rich and spend well.

That’s the first thought that occurred to me. Hillary was responsible for firing Imus. Did they extract a promise from him not to attack her before they hired him back, or is this a sign of weakening control by the witch?

He’s such a loose cannon I doubt if he could be trusted to keep such a pledge anyway.

She’s had a bad week. It will also be interesting to see whether Russert was taken to the woodshed for embarassing her, and never does it again, or whether he will let loose at her again.

Imus is the only person who would make me miss Ron.

Kuby is a pony tailed secular hippie, but I found him amusing for comedy value.

So I am confused.

Imus goes back on the air DECEMBER 3, but a co-host he is replacing was told not to go on the air TOMORROW....a month early?

What the heck?

I did...but hopefully the folks at Citadel will let him be the guy that delivered the "speech from Hell" instead of the guy that jawboned and kissed endsides of all the MSM types into making me go back to sleep. We've got an election to win. Imus, you said you are a Republican. Any dutiful Republican will do whatever it takes to stop Hillary Clinton from getting into the White House. Take that chip on your shoulder and let loose.

On a side note, as much as I found the MSNBC show boring, I did enjoy seeing David Gregory drunk.

Couldn’t stand Kuby either but too bad about Curtis. He’s a good guy.

The story didn't mention Curtis' future, but I expect him to remain with WABC-AM in some capacity, maybe weekends.

I need to ask Rev. Al Sharpton if I’m non racist enough to work....without his Blessing, no one will hire me.

Well, like someone posted earlier, Kuby probably knew of the plan beforehand and was probably ready to pull a Howard Stern and bad-mouth the management on air for the rest of his lame-duck time at WABC, so they figured it was best to fire him immediately. It happens a lot.
