Imus is back, our long national nightmare is over.
Does this guy even get ratings??? (I guess he does, but really who listens to his show??)

"Does this guy even get ratings??? (I guess he does, but really who listens to his show??)"The folks who listen to him constitute the most valuable demographic in radio. He may not have the largest numbers but his numbers are rich and spend well.

I did...but hopefully the folks at Citadel will let him be the guy that delivered the "
speech from Hell" instead of the guy that jawboned and kissed endsides of all the MSM types into making me go back to sleep. We've got an election to win. Imus, you said you are a Republican. Any dutiful Republican will do whatever it takes to stop Hillary Clinton from getting into the White House. Take that chip on your shoulder and let loose.
On a side note, as much as I found the MSNBC show boring, I did enjoy seeing David Gregory drunk.

I’m guessing very few FReepers. We’ve just been interested in this due to the “pushing back against ridiculous political correctness” angle here.

Ive never understood the Imus attraction. My only take is that he was one of the first shock jocks and built up a load of clout from that. Yeah, he often focused on political issues but he wasnt insightful. I could get opinions like his on current issues from the guys down at the local bar. He has maybe 10 IQ points on Howard Stern, and he is a few degrees less offensive. At least Stern is funny. They both lean liberal or more accurately populist. Whats the big deal?

(I guess he does, but really who listens to his show??) I'm amazed modern radios will pick up the AM band.
It's like the 8-track tape of the audio world.

“Don’s unique brand of humor, knowledge of the issues and ability to attract big-name guests is unparalleled. He is rested, fired up and ready to do great radio.”
He’s also a bore. I remember Sean Hannity bringing up the freedom of speech issue when Imus lost his show last summer, but if you ask me, it’s not worth getting rid of Curtis Sliwa to bring Imus back. Will any other stations have him?
