(Support Duncan Hunter for the 2008 GOP presidential nominee. He is THE conservative candidate!!)
To: davidosborne
Can’t and won’t make a pick until the media gives Duncan a fair shake in the game. Right now I’m too mad about that issue to make a pick.

No bashing from me. I just see Hunter as a clear choice as the candidate who will leave democrats disarmed.

(Only one consistent conservative in this race and his name is Hunter.)

Fred is the best known. Duncan is the best man, but doesn’t have the money or name ID to go anywhere. As a matter of fact, Duncan is the best man in this field, but that isn’t going to get him anywhere.

“Which candidate should pro-life conservatives rally behind to defeat the liberal abortionists Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton?”
You have to read the poll question. Its rather late in the game to rally behind a candidate polling at 1-2% isn’t it?

If Hunter was compared to any other candidate on the issues and on his persona, the country would elect him, much less we Republicans. It’s only the fear that we conservatives can’t influence the outcome of the race that is keeping more from supporting Hunter. The thing is that I remember Carter and Clinton and they were little known long shots as well. This time we, in the Republican party, have the ability to surprise the left with a strong conservative candidate. I also remember the confusion in Democratic ranks when Reagan ran and when he didn’t give the politically correct pablum of the time in his speeches . . . and absolutely crushed Carter. Go Hunter.

David,
I would hardly call it Hunter bashing to point out the obvious.

My candidate, Dr. Alan Keyes, was not included in the FR poll.
However, in the real world, Keyes is now polling ahead of Congressman Hunter in Florida and Iowa. He’s also ahead of Ron Paul in Florida.
