Seven years ago George bush and the republicans gave a tax cut to the wealthy. We had a recesion and as far as Im concerned we never recovered. I was working as a telemarketeer and my husband was at an assembly plant. In 2001 my husband was laid off after his job was outsourced. Then I lost my job too. My husband now works at Target and I held a job at Burger King. A week ago my job was terminated after buisness wasn't so well. Now were in another recession and Bush wants yet another tax cut? If cutting taxes didn't work before what does he thinks going to happen? I say raise them back up and give tax breaks to the poor and only the poor! We need it more after our jobs went away!

The US Military is always hiring. Even if you don’t want to go active duty then go into the reserves and they will pay for college for you.

To cut to the chase, your problem is that both you and your husband are holding low-wage service jobs.

Stop acting like it's the government's responsibility to get you a job. Go get a useful education, and get a higher-paying job. It's your responsibility. And yes, even here, the government provides educational benefits to folks like you, but it appears that you won't even expend the effort to get up and take them.

I'm sorry, but if you are asking for us to take care of you and coddle you, it isn't going to work.

And, as for the tax cuts, they helped everyone, not just the so-called "wealthy" (in reality, a misnomer, since income taxes are not taxes on wealth but rather on productivity). Even a lowly student like me who works during the summer got relief.
