He will be missed. He wanted to do a 100th birthday party, like his 95th.

“He was 97. Hinckley’s life spanned the 20th century, ...”
I could understand the first part of the second sentence if he were at least 10 years older.

I’m betting that Thomas Spencer Monson gets chosen to be the next LDS church president once the LDS Apostles meet to decide upon this announcement after Hinckley’s funeral.

May he R.I.P. I could only read the first few sentences because of the lack of spaces, so I have a question that may be explained further into the story. What is a “TK year”?

May God bless his family and loved ones at the time of this loss. I’d send out my sympathies to his beloved Marjorie but she passed away before him so hopefully they are having a joyous reunion now :) I have an old colleague of mine who is a grandson of Gordon B. Hinckley and I’m thinking of him now.

During his TK years as president,

What does “TK” refer to?

A gentle, decent man has died. This is a time and thread to show common human decency and respect. Your time will come, too, as will mine.
