Organized, well-financed and violent Mexican kidnapping cells are targeting a growing number of U.S. citizens visiting communities popular with San Diegans and other California residents.
Advertisement Last year, at least 26 San Diego County residents were kidnapped and held for ransom in Tijuana, Rosarito Beach or Ensenada, local FBI agents overseeing the cases said yesterday.

I refuse to cross the Mexican border ever again. Was a time when being a U.S. citizen in a third-world country meant something. Now it just gets you kidnapped or murdered. Thank a lot, open borders crowd (GWB, McInsane, The Swimmer...).

If you want a pleasant safe vacation to a third world country with all the modern amenities or rough it at the locals' level go to Viet Nam. And the people there love Americans. Go pretty soon, though. In a few years it won't be third world anymore.
