"It was my judgement at the time that it was not as problematic.." - Obama
FOX News | 13 March 2008 | Barack Hussein Obama

Posted on 03/15/2008 11:47:03 AM PDT by Jeff Head

In an interview with Major Garrett on Fox News last night, among many other things, Barack Hussein Obama indicated that regarding the upproar over the very controversial, hateful, rascists, and unAmerican statements of his long time pastor, menotr, and spiritual advisor, that Obama, upon learning of earlier statements:

"It was my judgement at the time that it was not as problematic.."

Also, yesterday, reveleations in the Rezko corruption trial, indicate that the Obama campaign is now revealing much larger donations through Rezko's efforts than previously stated. The Obama campaign also indicated that Barack had lapses of judgement in dealing with Rezko in those years.

Barack Hussein Obama, at the very best, is being revealed through these occurances as a candidate with very poor perception and judgement. And judgement is an issue he has raised as setting him apart from others.

Well, it is now clear that it does set him apart...but not in the way he had hoped.

His judgement is too poor to lead...too poor to govern.

As to his long time (20 year) preacher, Reverend Wright, the Obama's chose this man. In Obama's book, he indicates that as an activist Obama looked into Trinity church and picked him. Then they stayed with him for all these years, having the pastor marry him, baptize his kids, become his spiritual advisor, and his mentor, and even having him on his religion committee for his campaign.

It is simply not credible to consider that Obama did not really know what this man represented or said...that this man's signature social leanings, very apparent in many many of his sermons were never heard or unknown to Barack Hussein Obama and his wife.

In the following days, because of Obama's statements last night on national news that he had never heard them in the pew, and been unaware of these virulent sermons, that significant research will occur to determine if that is in fact the case.

It will not be surprising after 20 years of attendance, to find documented proof that Obama did in fact hear these things in sermons he attended and was aware of these hateful, disgusting views...for example when he cancelled Reverend Wright's planned public prayer at the onset of Obama's campaign. Why did he cancel that prayer at that time...the day before?

Quotes from Wright himself at the time indicate it was in fact because Obama was fully aware of Wright's controversial and bombastic, hateful statements.

On a final note, for Obama to refer to Wright as an Uncle is another non-starter. Senator Obama...you cannot chose your Uncles. They are a presult of birth. But you do chose your pastor, the man who marries you, the man who baptises your children...and you choose to continue going there and listening for twenty years.

There is no doubt that you knew what he represented and you either thought it would not matter, or hoped it would stay below the event horizon.

Well, perhaps after 20 years of hearing this man's hate American mantra, it better explains your wife's statement of it being the first time in her adult life she was proud of America with your campaign...and your own view of patriotism with not wearing aa US flag on your lapel or being willing to salute the flag while standing on that stage with your fellow candidates several months ago.

I saw part of this interview and Obama was hedging and dodging and making absolutely no sense in his responses. And saying he didn’t attend church when this was said and its all a big surprise to hear this about the pastor he’s known and supported personally and the church monetarily for 20 years — what a bunch of horse manure.

It certainly does. I am hoping that Hannity is right when he says Obama is "done", that he will never be presdient of this country. No matter what Obama says, at this point, he can't explain this away.

Thanks for the ping!

I suspect these are common themes that would have been known and pretty much accepted by all the congregants. I also suspect this type of rhetoric is common in a large number of black churches.

I can PERSONALLY tell you of a certain pastor in Florida where my wife & I were members of his church and one day we were invited to visit a charter school where he was a member of the board of directors.

This school was a predominately black school for failing kids and their material was of the most hateful anti-american, ultra-african nationalistic type I've ever witnessed anywhere. At times I thought to myself if I was sitting in Saudi Arabia or Lybia for all the hateful anti-american things which were being drummed into the heads of these already rebellious & problematic black kids. During the daily morning rituals where all the kids & teachers are assembled they pledged allegiance to the BLACK FLAG and parts of their pledge are words to the effect that "Red blood shall flow for it..."

One of the workers there had the worst type of anti-american stuff in his office and it was almost too much for me/us.

We seperated from them after about 3 months and also left the church.

Typical muslim response from Obama. They love America as an answer, but not America having the answers.

I just heard on FNC that Wright only began making these comments since 2005? Is that true?

No, it isn't. For instance, his sermon right after 9/11 is the one in which he spoke about America's chickens coming home to roost (the "we deserved it" sermon). Do you remember who said this?

I have gotten up and walked right out on a preacher that was saying something that I did not agree with. I'm not talking about fine quibbling of theology, but usually when they feel the need to interject their politics into the sermon. I certainly DON'T go back for seconds the next week. As such, I find it unbelievable that he can in any way distance himself from these remarks. We choose where we want to worship because we are at one with the manner of faith expressed.

Obama’s political ascent in Chicago has left him dirty the same as any other power seeking Chicago politician. The deeper any inquiry goes the more will be found. Will the people who know the truth be willing to talk? We’ll find out.

Then we still have to deal with Hillary and hope that Hannity's "Stop Hillary Express" will build up steam again. I certainly don't see McCain helping.

Actually Obama was right- spending 20 years soaking up anti-white racism and ragingly ignorant views of world history and US policy from a man you consider a spiritual mentor- is NOT a problem.

If you want to be elected a US Senator from Illinois.

It only becomes a “problem” when you need those rich (meaning, white) people you resented all of your life - to vote for you as President of the USA and leader of the (still, but barely) free world.

He can explain it in a way: Mrs and Mr Clinton calling themselves the first black presidents ushered this horse sh!t to the national debates.

“I pray you are right...but there are so many awe struck moonbats and hardcore leftists...that I fear he will continue with the MSM’s blessings (after a very short, toke, critical analysis).

We need to keep this front and center. The man is an enemy to this nation..”

My gut tells me that the Clintonistas were behind this revelation...
so Obama is done.

It's been obvious he can think and talk on his feet, except for anything that might reveal a core value.

Like the bwitch .. and all socialists .. there are no core values, and that is why they are always softballed.

I dislike trying to analyze these entities ... they're not part of the American fabric, and to try to humanize them is an effort in futility.

Don't get me wrong, Jeff ... you're a respected man ... but this charade is just more of the same-o/same-o.

Do the x42's do anything that is not orchestrated?

Did Obama just appear at the DNC in 2004?

No, no ... and it makes for good TV.

Thanks. FNC isn't saying when these comments were made; they're only playing the comments over and over and over.

I no longer fear that either of these two will ever be elected. Obama is done. Period. No way will middle America - WHITE middle America, where the bulk of the votes are - come out and vote for this guy over McCain.

Hillary? TODAY, she has the highest negatives of any presidential candidate in modern history and the real campaign hasn't even started. She reminds men (again, the bulk of the electorate) of their nagging wife and their hated ex-wife. Couple that with the disarray of the Democrat party and how after Obama leaves the stage his followers will be totally dejected and HATE Hillary, I do not fear Hillary being the candidate one iota!

Pass the popcorn!

Hillary must be salivating over this...

The only good thing about McCain winning the GOP nod is that it occurred early and is over. The media focus will shift to the fight between two far-left Democrats fighting each other and it will no doubt turn and stay nasty for the next couple of months.

For all his education, Obama lacks wisdom and judgment. He seems to believe that statements are not true or false, but either “problematic” or not problematic, whatever those words mean. Apparently, he associated closely for years with a man such this preacher and did not learn of his innermost convictions; nor did Obama believe that when the man's opinions were uttered in public, they would stick to Barak Obama, whether he believes them or not.

Well, I've heard for months now that Hillary will be easier to beat. Let's just hope that is the case. Because you are right about McCain. Or, let's hope that Obama goes on to get the nomination and Hillary is out of the election picture completely.

I have stated a couple times here on FR that I will NEVER vote for McCain, but I am afraid I am going to have to eat those words......not because I think he will be a good president, ONLY because I love and respect our military so much. The idea of Hillary (who, as we know, loathes our military) or Obama being their CIC is completely unacceptable.
