In his upcoming biography of Jesus, "Basic Instinct" director Paul Verhoeven will say that Jesus was probably the son of Mary and a Roman soldier who raped her during the Jewish uprising in Galilee, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Verhoeven also claims that Christ was not betrayed by Judas Iscariot.

I find it amusing that these people learn of an ancient (in this case, 2000 years old) slanderous story and revive it as if it's a new discovery. The original of this has the rapist as a Syrian mercenary of the Romans.
It's balderdash of course, people knew better even in the first century.
Muslims could nuke fifteen American or European cities tomorrow, and the response of guys like Verhoeven, Ron Howard, Dan Brown, and others would be another round of books & films smearing Christianity as a violent, deranged fraud.

These movies always cause a lot of stir, and then they tank.
Knowing these movies fail financially at the box office, we must therefore conclude there's another agenda behind these films.
Hollywood's #1 priority is disinformation. Raising capital and providing witless entertainment are #2 and #3, respectively.

“Heresy” is denying an article of the faith.
“Apostasy” is wholesale rejection of the faith.
“Blasphemy” covers any offense directly against the holiness of God.
“Sacrilege” is an offense against some creature which is holy on account of being especially dedicated to the service of God.
So, while I’ll agree with you that he’s probably engaged in blasphemy, I’ll still maintain that he’s flirting with apostasy.

It appears to me that Hollywood has way too much money floating around that is finding its way into projects that are...mmmmm....call them “less than optimal”.
I call on all Christians to readjust Hollywood’s cash flow to a more reasonable number.
