Angry Obama: "Appease" Is A Total Sleaze
New York Post ^ | May 17, 2008 | By Charles Hurt

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama fired back at President Bush yesterday, accusing him of an "appalling attack" for suggesting that the Democratic presidential hopeful wanted to appease America's enemies.

"Now, that's exactly the kind of appalling attack that's divided our country and that alienates us from the world," Obama said.

"And that's why we need change in Washington. That's part of the reason why I'm running for president of the United States of America."

Speaking before the Israeli Knesset earlier this week, Bush laced into those who believe that the United States should negotiate with leaders of terrorist states.

Last summer, Obama said emphatically during one of the Democratic debates he would gladly meet with the leaders of Iran and Syria and other sworn enemies of America "without preconditions...

Barack Obama really has a thin skin. Appeasement is bad. That is why he should be worried.

Please refrain from using the A-word. That word taboo and only racist KKK members use it.

If Obama hadn't jumped up and claimed that the President was insulting him, I would have assumed that the comments were either about Carter or Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

No references to Obama's skin are allowed. Please refrain from such language. You may only discuss Obama's brilliant policies when talking about Him.

Think these people should be more careful with their adjectives.

If only these 'same' could get as exercised over authentic abominations. . .like terrorists, for starters. . .Ahmadinejad. . .Chavez. Even the memory of Saddam does not get them to the 'fight' line.

I don't know how anyone can look at this election and not believe that God loves America.

Hillary was going to be President until this empty suit showed up.

McCain's campaign should be able to play this guy like a fiddle. Have a different accusation come out every day. Let Obama sing his "This is just the kind of divisive...." song every freakin' day for a month. Then, at the end of the month point out how he's never answered any of the criticisms. Ask if he thinks he's above criticism because no one gets more of it than a President.

Well of course you may discuss the great Hope and Change when talking about Him, the Great Savior of Gaia.

From Reagan's '64 speech:

Admittedly, there's a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson of history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement, and this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face -- that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand -- the ultimatum. And what then -- when Nikita Khrushchev has told his people he knows what our answer will be? He has told them that we're retreating under the pressure of the Cold War, and someday when the time comes to deliver the final ultimatum, our surrender will be voluntary, because by that time we will have been weakened from within spiritually, morally, and economically. He believes this because from our side he's heard voices pleading for "peace at any price" or "better Red than dead," or as one commentator put it, he'd rather "live on his knees than die on his feet." And therein lies the road to war, because those voices don't speak for the rest of us.

If the shoe/sandal fits, Obama, wear it!

Hmm President did not mention anyone currently in politics, he merely gave a history lesson.

So it would seem you are loudly proclaming the shoe the President crafted fits you.

Mr. Bush’s comments were targeted at Jimmuh Carter.
Mr. Obama apparently thinks the comments were meant for him. I suppose that means the Carter years are a glimpse of an even worse Omama administration.

It will be an interesting general election campaign when no one is allowed to say anything about Obama’s statements, associations, history, voting (or lack of ) record, policies (or the lack thereof), or anything else. I don’t believe that he’s really that thin-skinned, I think that he’s cynically using people’s “sensitivity” to criticising a black man as a sweeping weapon against any attack, no matter how legitimate. I don’t like McCain, but at this point I so despise Obama and am so worried about the future of this republic, that I hope McCain, of all people, will not fall for this. The best way to neutralise this “invisible shield” of immunity from legitimate questioning, is to simply come right out and call him on it, in plain English. McCain needs to ask, is everything off-limits regarding Obama, is any question about any aspect of Obama’s history and beleifs off-limits? Or is the emperor really naked? This is one time that I would like to see McCain’s famous temper, as in truly righteous indignation he asks Obama just what can he be questioned about, if not his own words? And tear down this false wall of hypocritical and cynical immunity that Obama and his supporters have placed around him. If there was ever a time for McCain to have righteous anger, this would be it. Or is he going to reserve that for conservatives and Republicans?

Heh heh heh.....Obama....a Vast Right Wing Conspirator posing as a communist to steal the Beast's thunder and thwart her Destiny, and then throw the election by campaigning as the second coming of Neville Chamberlain.
