Veepstakes: Blankley blah on Crist, Jindal, Romney. Ping to Today show list.

J. C. Watts would be a great pick!

I can’t say I disagree. Crist and Romney don’t bring the conservative cred and Jindal is too young right now.

George Allen
Rick Santorum
Haley Barbour
John Thune

Some of my picks.
He must be more conservative and younger.
Otherwise it’s Dole/Kemp all over again.

Jindal would be completely wrong when one of the “safer” knocks on Obama is his inexperience. All BHO’d need to do is point at Jindal and say, “him too, so it’s a wash.”

Mark Sanford would be the best selection, I think. I like Duncan Hunter, but he will not deliver California and he just never caught fire in the primaries (granted, he was given short shrift by the MSM, so his exposure outside of California was...well, limited).

Leave Jindal where he is long enough to fix Louisiana. I’d like to be able to visit there someday (maybe even live there).

I’ve been pushing John Kasich and Chris Cox for VP, but last night I thought of another dark horse candidate, what about former Michigan Governor John Engler? He’s a bona fide conservative, a popular former 3 term governor of a key battleground State, pro-life, Roman Catholic, very smart and quick witted (much like Huckabee) and is 59 years old? What do you think?
