Conservative bloggers and talk radio hosts have noticed the rash of gaffes some goofy, some more serious emanating from Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama lately, but the mainstream medias coverage of Obamas bouts with foot-in-mouth disease has been sparse, to say the least. In the case of one of Obamas more recent gaffes, however, a CNN reporter did Obama the favor of editing the gaffe right out of his story.
On Monday, Obama weirdly talked about honoring the nations unbroken line of fallen heroes and I see many of them in the audience today. In a report on Tuesday nights CNNs Election Center, correspondent Joe Johns used that Obama soundbite in a piece on the candidates polling problem on patriotism but snipped out the part where Obama seemed to be seeing ghosts:

I’m surprised that Obama’s apparent sighting of ghosts of veterans hasn’t gotten more press.
No surprise. CNN doesn’t even pretend neutrality anymore, they have become kind of a higher brow MSNBC.
And long as he doesn’t misspell ‘potato’,,,,he should be ok. /s
Go figure..
Obama: “I see dead people!”
PMSNBC is the worst. CNN is bad, but just still trying to at least pretend that they are fair after all these years.
You beat me to it. But it shall be my tagline.

there should be laws against this sort of lying by a licensed regulated news org
editorializing is one thing but editing content for propoganda is problematic
it’s hard to figure how to stop them though
They should be harassed from infinity and beyond.
"Good morning!" but it was already 10 minutes past noon.
McCain's gaffe proves he's too old?
Gaffe from two weeks ago still haunts McCain
CNN. The most busted news source.
And Charles Johnson reported that the AP left out the part of Obama’s statement yesterday in which he refused to denounce Trinity United.
With all his gaffes, far-left views and extremist friends, he’s making it hard for his media cheerleaders to cover for him. At some point he’ll screw up so badly that not even the MSM will be able to save him from his mistakes. The question is... will it happen before the election?
well if Obama Milhaus becomes President and a stupid miscalculation dealing with the islamofascists leads us to suffer another attack, maybe CNN can edit the gaffes out of his foreign policy, too.
He has a sixth sense?

From “1984”, “The messages he had received referred to articles or news items which for one reason or another it was thought necessary to alter, or, as the official phrase had it, to rectify. For example, it appeared from The Times of the seventeenth of March that Big Brother, in his speech of the previous day, had predicted that the South Indian front would remain quiet but that a Eurasian offensive would shortly be launched in North Africa. As it happened, the Eurasian Higher Command had launched its offensive in South India and left North Africa alone. It was therefore necessary to rewrite a paragraph of Big Brother’s speech, in such a way as to make him predict the thing that had actually happened. Or again, The Times of the nineteenth of December had published the official forecasts of the output of various classes of consumption goods in the fourth quarter of 1983, which was also the sixth quarter of the Ninth Three-Year Plan. Today’s issue contained a statement of the actual output, from which it appeared that the forecasts were in every instance grossly wrong. Winston’s job was to rectify the original figures by making them agree with the later ones.”
In Winston’s and CNN’s world if there is no record it didn’t happen. The record IS reality.
Don't worry, let a Republican mis-speak... you will hear it over and over again for two months.
