It’s the age old story. A guy runs for a political office that pays about $150,000 per year and within a couple of years is a millionaire. So what’s the problem? Happens all the time.
My initial reaction when reading the headline was: who cares? I really hate class politics. But, given the information you provided, it would be interesting to know.
He’s a politician, how do you think he got his money?
He steals it.
Plus, like most Politicians, he's written a book.
“In more than 30 years in Washington, Sen. Biden appears to have done little to have enriched himself. With the exception of a $112,000 book advance, he showed little income in 2007 beyond his $165,000 Senate salary and the $20,500 his wife made by teaching at Widener University in Chester, Pa.”
He’s been a senator for 36 years. That’s a good deal of money even if he hasn’t “enriched” himself.
He apparently still commutes to DC every day according to this article from the WSJ: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121918207043354563.html?mod=hps_us_whats_news
They don’t call the Senate the millionaires club for nuthin’.I wonder how many houses he has?
He has no doubt lived frugally and invested his money well.
Cattle futures, for example...
Most “elected reprtesentatives” go from penniless to multimillionaire status during their term of office.
From Capano Burial Service.
grin
I saw on the news this morning that he is not wealthy like most Senators. I’d love to know the truth.

1988: The Clintons are two penniless grifters from Arkansas.
2008: After 20 years and no private sector job, they are worth over $100 million in assets.
He lives in a compound. Restricted.
Cavito on FOX is really making a big deal about Biden’s “compound” and how huge it is.
It's not about the money, it's about where the money came from.
We don't begrudge our neighbors their wealth, as long as they didn't get it by robbing banks or embezzling corporate funds - or robbing taxpayers...
Where can I find pictures of Biden’s estate?
