Two delegations attacked by protesters(RNC)

Protesters harassed two state delegations in St. Paul to attend the Republican National Convention Monday. Someone threw a rock through the window as delegates from Alabama rode their bus to the Xcel Energy Center, where RNC events took place. And masked protesters confronted and harassed the Connecticut delegation — several of them were spat upon, roughed up and doused with a mixture of water and bleach.

I love this line from the story:

"Another Alabama delegate, Randy McKinney, was also on the bus. He attributed the attack to 'a couple dozen Ninja-wannabes, and I didn't see any taxpayers in the group.' "

How true.

Ah, for the good old days, when the cops could whack somebody in the head with a club.

Bleach could cause permanent eye injury; these people should be charged. Exactly where are the police? Where is the law banning masks?

Use of deadly force against the pukes would have been justified.

Man I’d love to take a size 34 Louisville Slugger to those scumbags being shown on TV rioting. Of course my dad’s old trick or rolling up an 18 inch piece of steel pipe in a newspaper (that way any photos just look like you’re hitting them with a newspaper) would work just as well.

Alabama delegates and they didn’t get off the bus to the tune of Sweet Home Alabama and roll the trash into the gutters?

Here’s the report on the incidents you mentioned.

Yeah, I’m really upset with the how the police are handling this. They want to be seen as PC and nice to the protestors, “respecting their right to protest.” Yes, I want to see some serious BEATINGS, man! Make these thugs think twice about what they do!!! I want to go down and dispense some justice myself!

I heard on the radio today that a woman in the Texas delegation punched a male protester in the stomach. I’ll bet he had it coming! Don’t mess with Texas women - they’ll kick your ass!

Thanks! Gateway Pundit had some good information on both the attacks, and also on one where a bus full of *CUB SCOUTS* was surrounded, dented, and rocked by screaming protestors.

I wonder if they will attack a delegation from a state sharing reciprocal concealed carry rights? Wouldn’t it be nice if Blackwater was there for delegate security.

Amen, if the convention was here in Texas, she probably would have pistol whipped him with her CCH.

On a side note, don’t you find it the highest degree of irony and hypocrisy that the DIMs call themselves the party of peace and want to end fighting, yet you never see conservatives spitting on DIM delegates or throwing feces and urine like DIMs.

I know a guy that once broke up a riot with a 1956 Jaguar timing chain up his sleeve. That was back in 1961.

Where is the law banning masks?

609.735 CONCEALING IDENTITY.
A person whose identity is concealed by the person in a public place by means of a robe, mask, or other disguise, unless based on religious beliefs, or incidental to amusement, entertainment, protection from weather, or medical treatment, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

There are also terrorism statutes that could apply.

609.712 REAL AND SIMULATED WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.
Subd. 4. Simulated weapons of mass destruction; penalty. Whoever manufactures, acquires, possesses, or makes readily accessible to another a simulated weapon of mass destruction with the intent of terrorizing another may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than ten years or to payment of a fine of not more than $20,000, or both.
Subd. 5. Threats involving real or simulated weapons of mass destruction. Whoever does the following with intent to terrorize another or cause evacuation of a place, whether a building or not, or disruption of another's activities, or with reckless disregard of the risk of causing terror, evacuation, or disruption, may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than ten years or to payment of a fine of not more than $20,000, or both:
(1) displays a weapon of mass destruction or a simulated weapon of mass destruction;
(2) threatens to use a weapon of mass destruction; or
(3) communicates, whether directly or indirectly, that a weapon of mass destruction is or will be present or introduced at a place or location, or will be used to cause death, disease, or injury to another or to another's property, whether or not the same is in fact present or introduced.
I went with the simulated part because they could claim that the human waste was not biologically active or chemically harmful. Of course, how is the victim supposed to know that?

I want to see some civil rights lawsuits against the host city, plus a promise never to host the convention in that city again.

The point is - the RNC and the city don’t want to be remembered through photos and video of police dogs and firehoses like a certain event decades back... So they are wearing kid gloves - and delegates are being assaulted.

I say arm the delegates - let them take care of themselves!

I have seen monkeys fling (and eat) excrement and think their comparison to those DNC anarchists is suitable.

I agree. These people need to be arrested and not let out on bail. Put them in the worst prison we have and let them stew for a few months. Our courts are backed up aren’t they? Maybe after sitting in prison with the worst of our society will change their minds.

I don't know if it is still on the books, but Oklahoma had
a law that banned mask/hoods/etc.

The common tale is that it was passed in reaction to the KKK.
