Terror, backed and financed by nation states and oil money.
We have drained much of the swamp, but time is running out for these hold-outs.

Unless, of course, they can work with the American Left to elect Obama.

The Obama Wars, if they come, will be a nightmare such as world has not seen for some time.

Hasn’t Joe Biden already told the Israelis that his boss-to-be won’t support them? That means the Iraelis will surely conclude that if The One is elected on the first monday of November they have no choice but to strike Iran before 20 January — after that, they’ll have not support AT ALL from the US. God help us all if this happens. If you think gas is expensive now, wait until the Strait of Hormuz is closed, or Saudi Arabia is radioactive.

" Why, given all this, did the NIE draw the opposite conclusions about Iran's nuclear weapons program? In part, Bergman asserts, because Iran outfoxed the American intelligence services by means that included the calculated leaking of bogus material purporting to indicate that the effort had been frozen in 2003. "

And the MSM/DEMS/LIBS ate this up hook line and sinker.

Thanks Mo, it was a good read. It shows just how slack the West has been with its liberal inflamed intelligence services.

Now we either take out those two sites, or we let the Iranians go, and then we will have to fight them when they try to take over the Persian Gulf, with Russian help. The stakes are much larger than just Israel's strategic interests.

Which is the books secret point!!!!

Already, Natanz is protected by no fewer than 26 anti-aircraft missile batteries, and this and other of its nuclear facilities, he writes (despite others' claims to the contrary), already have the advanced Russian-made S-300 missiles among their defenses.

So apparently the Russians have lied once again.

Another grim reminder of why we need grownups running things in Washington. Slogans and social programs can’t save the Free World; it will require steely men and women like McCain and Palin and, unfortunately, the sweat and blood of our sons and daughters. This is no time for America to suffer fools.

It's interesting that, after WWII, the leadership of the victorious coalition came up with idea of "limited war".

Partly, I think, this was because they had just seen up close and personal how bad it could get. Partly, it was fear of nukes. And partly, it was leftist internationalism.

In any event, we were raised on tales of the OSS, the French Resistance, and the Eighth Air Force - not on tales of Zhukov, Konev, and Rossikovsky crawling through oceans of blood to cut the monster's heart out.

Korea, Vietnam, and the whole GWOT, including shopping to defeat the terrorists are descendants of this sensibility.

Iran is a test of many limited war concepts - covert operations, special forces, "strategic bombing", "coalitions", "putting pressure on", "international sanctions", the whole nine yards.

I don't think it's going to work.
