Obama knocks press on 'made-up controversy'
The Politico ^ | September 10, 2008 | Staff

Speaking at a high school in Norfolk, Obama took a few moments to address what he calls "the made-up controversy" of the day, Amie Parnes reports.

Obama said the McCain campaign moved to "seize an innocent remark and take it out of context because they knew it's catnip for the news media."

"See, it would be funny, but the news media decided that would be the lead story yesterday. This happens every election cycle. Every four years, this is what we do. This is what they want to spend two of the last 55 days talking about...Enough!" he said.

Obama called the attacks "lies, outrage and swift boat politics."

"These are serious times and they call for a serious debate...spare me all the phony outrage. Spare me all the phony talk about change," he said.

UPDATE: McCain spokesman Brian Rogers responds: “Barack Obama can’t campaign with schoolyard insults and then try to claim outrage at the tone of the campaign. His talk of new politics is as empty as his campaign trail promises, and his record of bucking his party and reaching across the aisle simply doesn’t exist.”

But he would never use something McCain said “out of context” for his own gain, right?

How about McCain’s “100 years in Iraq” comment, zedBama?

Obama gets it! He said it intentionally about Palin, and knowing it would give him news so he could accuse McCain campaign of “made up controversy”...because McCain used that political expression with Romney during primaries.

Obama is a sleaze who plans how he can dominate the news with controversail issues, and then make excuses for it saying the media and McCain are wasting time and he’s the sane Messaih who is trying to rescue America...he’s a psychopathic thinker, it’s all about him! IMHO

What is the word or definition for someone who is pretending to be oblivious to the fact that he is continually spouting bald faced lies?

I mean he got caught giving Hillary the finger before. He gets caught with this crap of trying to call Sarah Palin a Pig. Both times he pretends to be amazed and offended that anyone would say anything against him about it.

He doesn’t have the balls to tell her straight out, cause of course, she’d crush his skinny big mouse eared head with one hand.

Democrats and their fellow Democrats in the media have been tossing out “lipstick on a pig” for days. They thinks it’s a real knee-slapper.

His melt down is much worse than Ed Muskie’s weeping in the snows of New Hampshire, which spelled the end of his presidential run. It is time for him to leave the race and allow Hillary to try to make up some lost time (yea, right). Maybe he is meeting Bill in Harlem to discuss terms of surrender?

If he loses the slavish and fawning support of the MSM, his campaign would be over. Pretending they’re not completely in the tank for him is beyond laughable. And despite the growing backlash, the hate campaign against Gov. Palin continues unabated.

"...the hate campaign against Gov. Palin continues unabated."

This is absolutely the worst sexist attack yet. And Fox is letting it slide. They don't know how to fight. They give up too easily. If we attacked someone on the left with a veiled nasty remark like this CNN would be screaming from the rooftops. What if we said..."Monkey see Monkey do" about Obama following this filthy DNC talking point???...It is also a common saying but they would be flipping out.
