I was a press secretary in the US Senate in 2006, and I smoked. I’d step outside for a cigarette from time to time and then Senator Obama, also a smoker, would come walking from the Capitol having a smoke and would finish it with us other smokers. Like you would with anyone, I would just shoot the breeze with him. It didn’t happen often, Senators have busy schedules. But he’d walk outside from the Capitol to the office buildings sometimes rather than use the tunnels for the same reason I did – because you wanted to have a smoke...

Sources tell ABC News that the president will announce today that US troops in Iraq will draw down to zero by the end of the year. A White House official says that at approximately 11:30am today, President Obama convened a secure video conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to talk with him about this news.

The Occupy Wall Street folks tell us to blame Wall Street for the nation's financial troubles. Notice the no-fly zone over President Barack Obama. Where are the anti-President Barack Obama signs or the verbal chants denouncing the President? Imagine the protests/sit-ins/rallies/mass marches on Pennsylvania Avenue -- not Wall Street -- if after two years of Republican White House leadership, America remained stuck on over 9 percent unemployment! Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and President Barack Obama say they sympathize with the protestors. Of course, they do. After over two years of reckless spending, the inflationary printing...

High gas prices and continued anxiety about the economy have taken their toll on President Obama's approval ratings, which have dropped consistently since the president announced he is running for a second term. Since Obama announced on April 4 with a low-key email and video address to supporters, the president's numbers have gone down in every poll conducted during that period. Pollsters attribute the president's dropping poll numbers to the rise of gasoline prices, which historically have taken a toll on the popularity of the White House. Last Friday, a Gallup survey showed the president's numbers at 41 percent, a...

The Obama administration is developing plans that would require all Internet-based communication services -- such as encrypted BlackBerry e-mail, Facebook, and Skype -- to be capable of complying with federal wiretap orders, according to a report published Monday.

Barack Obama's offhand approach to Gordon Brown's Washington visit last week came about because the president was facing exhaustion over America's economic crisis and is unable to focus on foreign affairs, the Sunday Telegraph has been told. Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest. But Washington figures with access to Mr Obama's inner circle explained the slight by saying that those high up in the administration have had little time to deal with international matters,...

ZEROBAMA, AMERICA’S FIRST BASTARD PRESIDENT By Gargantua Just reading this headline might give one the misimpression that the author is referring only to the idea that every other president of the United States had sprung forth from a legally sanctioned, morally upright union between two married (man and woman) parents. Underlying that easy assumption, however, is a cretin so cynical, so wicked, so smug and heinous that he could actually place his hand upon a bible and swear an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America even as he pays princely sums to a...

What does it say about Barack Obama that the first major act of his administration was to help terrorists and to endanger America? Less than 48 hours after taking office he whipped out his magic pen and signed the Terrorist Emancipation Proclamation. In one fell swoop, a major tool of national defense was gone. In one fell swoop, the scale tipped in the terrorists' favor. The evening news told part of the story. That was the part about Guantanamo Bay. Mocked and attacked by liberals across the world, most people don't really know about Guantanamo Bay, but they do know...

I went to a gathering the other day and someone said "I hope Obama is a great success". I thought about it and I for one hope he is not. If he is a success think what it will mean, more socialism, more taxes, more abortions, more terrorism (he's against Guantanamo, water boarding, aggressive interrogation)support of gay marriage, a much worse health care system,no secret ballot in union elections, more Ginsberg and Brehers to the Supreme Court, a weaker military due to openly accepting gays, a weaker CIA, appointing Panetta is a disastor. These are some of the reasons I hope...

Only two articles came up from "proliberty.com" and they are both pretty lengthy. They both seem to cover Obama's, his parents and grandparents lifetimes. Lots of intrigue with aliases, murder, CIA, real estate deals, even satanic rituals. Someone has spent an enormous amount of time researching this family. http://www.google.com/search?q=madelyn+dunham&domains=proliberty.com&sitesearch=proliberty.com

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) - The head of a New Mexico Republican women's group is being pressured to resign after calling Barack Obama a "Muslim socialist" and claiming that "Muslims are our enemies." Marcia Stirman is the head of the Republican Women of Otero County.

CBS News' : (NASHVILLE, TENN.) - After most of the previous 12 months covering Barack Obama's campaign for the presidency, it was interesting, instructive and, well, relaxing to follow John McCain for the last few days. The differences between the two are striking. Obama is the big time orator, McCain is the guy who struggles with a teleprompter or even note cards strategically placed nearby. Obama's crowds are larger, more enthusiastic. McCain's events are smaller, but to my eye, better choreographed. And now with the addition of Sarah Palin to some of his events, McCain can boast of crowds that...

ABC News' Teddy Davis and Arnab Datta Report: Part way through Tuesday's debate, Obama press secretary Bill Burton emailed reporters asking: "Did John McCain just refer to Obama as 'that one'?" "Folks are going to remember that," Burton told ABC News in a separate email. Showing the power of a well-timed email, McCain's reference to Obama as "that one" became a topic of discussion in the spin room following the debate. Obama strategist David Axelrod called it "odd." "Senator Obama has a name," said Axelrod. "You'd expect your opponent to use that name." Asked about the Obama campaign's effort to...

"There's no doubt she's been a phenomenon," Mr Obama said of Mrs Palin, the Republican candidate for vice-president. He joked that he spoke "as someone that used to be on the cover of Time and Newsweek" magazines but had recently to make do with an offer from Popular Mechanics due to media focus on Mrs Palin. In an appearance on the David Letterman television chatshow, Mr Obama admitted that contrary to the immediate judgment of many analysts, Mrs Palin had been a boon for Mr McCain's campaign, conceding: "there's no doubt that she's energised the base." However he insisted that...

Speaking at a high school in Norfolk, Obama took a few moments to address what he calls "the made-up controversy" of the day, Amie Parnes reports. Obama said the McCain campaign moved to "seize an innocent remark and take it out of context because they knew it's catnip for the news media." "See, it would be funny, but the news media decided that would be the lead story yesterday. This happens every election cycle. Every four years, this is what we do. This is what they want to spend two of the last 55 days talking about...Enough!" he said. Obama...

We keep saying this — and no one seems to listen — but over the course of this campaign, we’ve met about 50 people who worked on McGovern-72, and every one of them said to us, without quivocation, that the main reason McGovern lost to Nixon was McGOVERN’S SUPPORTERS. The way McGovern’s “youth army” behaved, and the terrible things they did in McGovern’s name, worked against their candidate and every day drove more people who would have never voted Republican over to Nixon. I think it was during the Rudi speech, after he said something like, "Obama...Experience...Zero...nada.." that the crowd started chanting Zero, Zero, Zero. That crowd came up with an excellent theme/symbol/slogan/etc. Zero. There should be lots of ideas on the Zero theme.
