Now that they've lost their jobs, can they be deported? They'll probably move to TN and work for Tyson. There are already a bunch of Somalians working there and the union tends to pander to them. >:-(

You know, the Left (and the rest of the uninformed) love to call us a Democracy rather than a Republic. So, it’s high time this country STOP accommodating the minority at the expense of the majority - even the Left should get that.

I just remembered a link that was emailed to me about the "peaceful protest" at the plant. It appears there may be a lot more to the story than the Greely newspapers are talking about. Seems things weren't quite as peaceful as has been reported.......
Jihad Watch has this to say about it

No arrests were made. The worker was escorted off the premises and police remained on the scene for peace-keeping purposes. Oh look, we now need peace-keepers in the United States.

Its hard to sort out the unreported details here, but my initial reaction is that this is poor management.
I'm not saying the company isn't within its rights. But could not a good management team accommodate the prayer and fasting without hurting production? Or am I missing something about this business?

There is a muslim at my work going through the fasting. He is very politely attending our biweekly business lunches, but is not eating himself. He is a very professional and hard working fellow. Good at what he does, and easy to along with.
My problem is with the religion itself which I think is a misguided and dangerously aggressive false teaching of from a false prophet--and is a major contributer for much of the blood shed and tyranny in the world. But not with individuals just because they happen to believe in that false religion.
I have met many friendly decent muslims, and see no problem trying to be accommodating to such folks at work in regard to things like fasting during daylight and taking prayer breaks...provided it won't prevent them from doing good work.
