They are a funny lot. They all drink as best I can tell but only the good stuff. Mostly wine. They abstain from liquor and beer. I have only met a few bad ones and they were fresh off the boat.
When these Somalis got these jobs, they laughed at how much the “naive Americans” were willing to pay them. They probably believe the Americans will beg them to come back. When they see the “udocumented workers” lining up to take their jobs, they will riot.
Joe Rios, a day-shifter for nine months at Swift, said he felt the Somalis were asking for special treatment and “taking advantage of our kindness” in America. He said “most of us” at Swift are Catholic and observe a month of Lent each year without seeking work concessions based on religion.
“I think it’s either you want to make money and work and put your prayers aside or you stay home,” he said.
Rios said he’d heard that some disgruntled Muslim workers damaged property in the Swift parking lot Friday.

Swift gets nailed for hiring illegal aliens from Mexico then turns around and tries to take advantage of MUslim immigrants from Somalia. They try to strong arm Swift.
That’s what happens when you try to negotiate American business terms with third world people.
They are free to find an employer who does subscribe to their obsessive-compulsive disorder habits.

That would mean working THROUGH the lunch hour which means having someone ELSE give up his lunch hour to watch the lines.
Many companies REQUIRE employees to take a break at some point in the day to combat fatigue and clear the mind. Plus the Unions don’t like the establishment of a reason to “shifttime” your lunch break to the end of the day.
This is not so easy to “let them do as they want”.

If they are Somali, I seriously doubt that they could be deported. Because we are such a generous country and because our government is so eager to give away everything that brave men have fought and died for ... these folks are imported at a staggering rate (IMHO) and automatically given anything and everything.
[I have met many friendly decent muslims, and see no problem trying to be accommodating to such folks at work in regard to things like fasting during daylight and taking prayer breaks...provided it won't prevent them from doing good work. ]

Those drunk with their power believe that the (world's) hate for us will somehow be quelled by our generosity and caring. Forget looking at what our largess actually accomplishes ... kinda like they refuse to examine the lack of progress of the poverty-stricken in the US, even though they have all kinds of government support.
It appears to be only us peons are able to recognize the problems. The Somali muslims, as well as others, must think that we are the most ignorant humans to ever walk the earth. We invite them in and then, slowly but surely, change our customs, rules, laws and culture to make sure that we accomodate theirs. Hispanic illegals probably have similar thoughts. Who knew that a bunch of uneducated poor folks could take over the most powerful nation ever known ... without ever firing a shot or developing powerful weapons.

Swift is very much into pork products, so if they are devout Muslims, they shouldn’t be working there anyway.
