Hey Pelousy, why don’t you yell at your buddy, Barney Frank!

In 2003, Frank rejected Bush administration and Congressional Republican efforts for the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis. [26] Under the plan a new agency would have been created within the Treasury Department to assume supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored companies that are the two largest players in the mortgage lending industry.[27] “These two entities, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” Frank said. He added, “The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

Barney Frank is Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.

Chris Dodd is chairman of Senate Banking Committee.

These are the point people, and I think most people know it. Pelosi is just plain stupid.

Thomas Lifson, American Thinker says....
“The Democrats know very well that their strength lies in voters’ feelings rather than analysis, and so they choose slogans and labels aimed at creating fear of ‘mean-spirited’ Republicans or ‘domestic spying’ on ordinary Americans, and avoid directly addressing specifics of policies. They create positive images of the government “taking care of people,” and, above all, reject close examination of the outcomes which could be expected given the realities of human nature. The very format of most television, with no room for rational back-and-forth discussion or critical analysis, enables the flinging of labels.

Republican conservatives have generally been far less sophisticated at this game. By its very nature, conservatism is based on reflection and a due regard for the complexities of change and the flawed nature of the human creature.

As a result, Democrats and their allies have paid close attention to image management, and with the help of their friends in the entertainment industry, they have become extraordinarily skilled at it…
:
However, when American politics enters what I earlier called attention season, Americans un-obsessed with politics begin to pay attention to actual arguments made by the candidates. When there is an atmosphere of crisis, and voters have reason to believe their personal welfare and safety may be at risk, they ponder whom to believe, and talk about politics with others.”

We are in the ‘Attention Season’. Get to work folks!
Get the facts out there! Nine percent Nancy does not tell the truth!

I know this is a futile wish, but just one time before he leaves office I would like to see President Bush come out fighting against democrats who distort history and push their own false versions of every crisis.

He is the one that could push the blame for this financial crash back where it belongs - on the political correctness that democrats forced on the financial community.
The root cause of this whole collapse is congress forcing lenders to reduce loan eligibility requirements in order to increase home purchases by unqualified minorities.

But unless someone speaks up, the democrat version of the cause will be the only one the public hears.

President Bush is the man who should do it.

In the 2000 primaries I saw President Bush show plenty of spunk, and he showed us backbone right after 9/11.
He even showed some life in his ill advised push to give amnesty to illegals.
But for most of his administration he has let the Democrats beat him like a rented mule - just like they are doing now.

He could help save his own legacy and help the republican party win this election if he would wake up and speak out.
