With the financial crisis enveloping Washington, and the Obama campaign trying to spin it as a Republican problem, Congress is about to go on "vacation" again - like they did in August.
Remember the House Republicans (Genius!!!) who stayed behind, and worked on gas and drilling, while their Dem counterparts fled the Capitol? It was pure genius! And how the Dems have suffered for it.
This is another (and greater) such opportunity. With the financial crisis in full swing, the Dems are fleeing, and saying a lot of embarassng things.
Republicans should remain in town when the dems flee - and both the House and Senate Republicans should hold their own hearings exposing the Democrat genesis of this crisis: Decades of phoney-baloney housing "loans" to people who could not possibly afford them, hundreds of millions of dollars to "community activists" and socialist-oriented organizations to make "affordable housing" available in the form of mortgages that should never have been given.
And at least two formed execs from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as chief advisors to Obama, who personally raped and pillaged public funds for personal gain, causing much of this mess.
It could be a very entertaining "vacation" if the Republicans take advantage of it, stay in town, and beat the heck (metaphorically speaking, of course) out of their pathetic opponents.
Oh... and Herry Reid said that “No one knows what to do...” Gosh, I hope that someone has video of him saying that.
Good! Go on vacation. And stay on vacation. The longer the RATS stay out of Washington, the less they can screw up this country.

The rats once again are running for the hills, we have a crisis, they run, nice to know we have a congress that promised CHANGE when they took control just like thier candidate is now promising and they have done NOTHING ABSOLUTLY NOTHING FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. 135 congressional and senate representatives have thier hand in the rat trap called fannie and freddie might be the reason.
We know the Dirt Democrats and their piggishness caused it
Might be time to move the Capitol to the middle of the country, like Nebraska for instance.
The DNC (do nothing Congress) is on the way! The hell with our Country! Attack! Attack! Attack!
The scurries of little rat feet are heard all 'round the Beltway and the squeals: squeak! squeak! squeak!
Where are those Pelosi INVESTIGATIONS into the mortgage failures?
Good question.
Republicans:
Drill within the first 50 miles.
What follows? Lower gas prices and smiles!
