McCain Fears Voter Fraud (Not Danforth!!)

Former Republican Sens. John Danforth of Missouri and Warren Rudman of New Hampshire are running the McCain-Palin 2008 Honest and Open Election Committee, and, according to them, they are running scared – scared of all the registration mischief out in the field that may just drop a bomb on Election 2008. “Our mission is to make sure that everybody who is entitled to vote gets to vote without any intimidation, but also that there is no stuffing at the ballot boxes, no fraudulent voting, and also that the rules are the same for everybody,” announced Danforth at a teleconference with the media on Monday afternoon. “I mean, one of our concerns is that on Election Day some polling places are kept open for extended periods of time and others are not, and that this is done to help one candidate versus the other,” Danforth added. Both Rudman and Danforth voiced concern that there is or may be a pattern of registering people who are not entitled to vote, noting that of particular concern is an organization called The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). “We are concerned that ACORN has been connected with Senator [Barack] Obama and that he has ties to it,” said Danforth. “He directed something called Project Vote; he taught classes for future leaders that are identified by ACORN; and he has represented ACORN in court in a lawsuit against the state of Illinois.

This is deadly serious - ACORN is likely going all out in Ohio, MI, Virginia and PA. They don’t need to cheat everywhere - only in a few key states, and even then, only a few key counties within those states.

They certainly have the resources for such a specific campaign.

You will never see this reported in the MSM either, so the word has to get out somehow.

Danforth is NOT a conservative but he is highly principled.
I trust John Danforth. It is the state AG’s though and the county clerks at the local level though that are more important. Having said that NOBODY is MORE important in preventing voter fraud than conservative poll watchers.

It will serve McLame and the GOP right unfortunately if they get cheated - theyve had years and years to fix it - require a valid ID to register and to vote, yet they have gone with democrats to allow the thugary to happen.

I dont want Obama but it wont surprise me if he wins. The GOP is all about reaching over the isle while the dems are all about winning at all cost.

Also, Danforth was the guy who not only gave Clarence Thomas his first serious job, then mentored and promoted him in various ways and then went not only "to the well" but to the whole #$&%@ ocean for him during the hearings. Deserves some respect for that.

I.E., not 100% on all issues, but when his back is up, there's no one I'd rather have on my side.

So, how can B. Hussein O.’s candidacy be constitutionally legitimized in order to end the largest voter fraud in history? Is it up to the state AG’s, the county clerks, or who? How is the lawsuit going?

I'm already signed up as a challenger for election day. I'll be assigned to a heavily Dem precinct and have the GOP election attorneys on speed-dial.

You have to show ID in Virginia to vote. So, that is one state covered. Even in Richmond and Roanoke, I have never heard about any fraud.

Ohio as well. So that leaves MI and PA.

There should be enough volunteers in every state to staff an army of Poll Watchers, with one serving at every precinct in the country. I've witnessed poll-watching in action in Massachusetts and it does work.

Traditionally, Republican poll watchers check off the names of those Republicans who voted, so they can remind those who didn't to get off the couch.

However, I think it would behoove us to watch BOTH sides of the voter registration list, to catch any hanky-panky such as graveyard voting, multiple personalities, etc.

If nobody is watching, larceny becomes commonplace.

Yes, their strategy has probably been in the works for years. To paraphrase their hero, Che Guevera, they will try create "one, two, many Floridas."

On Fox News this morning. Ohio Supreme Court approved same day vote registration/absentee ballot voting & today is first day; 3 buses leaving Ohio State Univ. with students planning to take advantage. Needless to say the Republicans challenging the law are not pleased.
