No other Republican candidate would be leading Obama, given that the economy has suffered major blows late with the sharp fall of the stock market. 401 K’s are melting and Americans associate Bush with any Republican. That’s wrong of them, but they do it.

You are probably right. Without Palin it would be much worse.

“No other Republican candidate would be leading Obama..”

I disagree. As someone said at the convention this year:

“We need change all right. Change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington”

That should have been McCain’s message. Obama is the status quo candidate.

I disagree with you. While I’ll admit the intensity of current credit matter was likely unforeseeable, a good candidate could go out there and explain that it was the LEFTY’s that stole everyone’s 401k values by having taxpayers backstop the risk in lending to people that should not have been lent to in the first place. That DEM policy in fact created capitalism on the way up and was creating socialism on the way down. By explaining that the GSE’s are democrat featherbeds. Forget Willie Horton and think Hal Raines. The way it turned out it should have been EASY to win this year.

Bull-Sh*t you put (sorry for my strong words), but you put a Conservative like Mike Pence, Tom Coburn, Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter, heck even Fred on the Top and they would be WINNING agains OBAMA and handily becuase they would be principled, and would stand for it, the American people agree with us if we will just believe and “fight”..? Isn’t that what I hear here every day “Fight McCain, Fight” even though he does’t because he’s a Moderate and doesn’t believe in Conservatism..!

ANY Conservative would be leading 0bama by 10 points right now. Any Conservative would have been AGAINST the bailout, and the people would be behind him right now, with coattails reaching into the congress.

Any Conservative would be preaching supply-side fixes and market-based solutions rather than big-government and socialized banking- Wall street and Main street would be behind him right now.

Silly RINOs. Tricks are for Libs.
