American freepers, I'd love the share some good news for you folks!
Congratulate me please! Wow, I can’t believe this. We have just defeated a 4-time, 11-year liberal incumbent, a Chief Opposition Whip in the parlimentary!
This riding was considered to be a super safe riding for liberals since the liberal incumbent won last time by 43% to conservative's 32% in 2006, by 5,000 votes!
Tonight, the conservative candidate won by less than 1%, 36.7% to 36%, fewer than 400 votes!! Wow, this was definitely a shocker.
I initially didn’t intend to vote because I thought it’s a very long shot for the local conservative candidate.The liberal incumbent is not such a radical and had actually done some good for local people. However, I got increasingly irritated by the national liberal and NDP leaders for their constant bashing of Harper as Canada’s George W. Bush. I hate the stupid NDP leader Jack Laydon, the moustache, masquerated as Canada's Obama. So I decided in the last minute to go to the poll!
Wow, we have delivered the shocker in our riding, wiping out one of the safest liberal incumbents.
American freepers, keep on fighting, never give up, ignore the polls. Obama/Pelosi/Reid may wind up with a big surprise on Nov 4th.

That’s good news for Canada but I can’t congratulate you for voting. It’s our duty to vote; yours as a Canadian and mine as an American.

Even if the election day polls and early returns sound grim, even if an early call is made for Obama, even if you’re in a western time zone and all looks lost, VOTE!
Wait until the incumbent insists on a recount to the tune of “count and recount until he wins.”

There’s no poll. Canada pollsters generally don’t do polls on a very local level. I guess it’s very unreliable.

I don’t think so. If Harper wants to win a majority, he has to pander further to the communist Quebec. I don’t want that. I’m fine with a strengthened minority without Quebec.
