Sarah Palin's bright-eyed daughter Piper melted hearts at a Colorado ice-cream shop as the veep candidate satisfied the girl's sweet tooth during a campaign stop.
The beaming 7-year-old, who came in holding baby brother Trig in his removable car seat, gobbled up a dish of birthday-cake ice cream from the Cold Stone Creamery in Colorado Springs Sunday night.
The Palins - daughter Willow, 14, was there, too - greeted several excited customers and posed for photos.
Palin paid cash for the treats and threw a little extra in the tip jar before retreating to her hotel.
She seems to have an affinity for the popular ice cream chain. Last month, she diverted from the campaign trail in Florida to take her husband, Todd, and their kids to a Cold Stone, where she also opted for birthday cake.

Of the daughters she is the one who seems to most emulate her mother. I thought it was super neat that way she imitated her mom’s waving to the crowd at the RNC.
I love Cold Stone too. Sarah is just such “girlfriend!”

I have to have sprinkles on my ice cream...they are crucial.
But — but — I thought she wouldn’t be able to do motherly things for her kids if she didn’t just stay home!!! (where she belonged)
At least she pays, unlike Hitlary (and Democrats in general) who seem to expect “freebies” everywhere she went. ;-)
And, perhaps getting some payback on "SNL's" Tina Fey for her devastating impersonation of Palin, the Alaska governor signed into the hotel under the alias "Tina."

I love how they like still acting like normal people. Sen. Obama, on the other hand, is above such trivialities, and sends out surrogates to spend time with his daughters?
Our middle daughter was working at a local Cold Stone Creamery when she was 15. When the owner asked her opinion about which applicant to hire, she suggested a particular guy that she thought was cute.
That was seventeen years ago. She eventually married that guy and they've given us three grandchildren, all of which are cuter than Sarah Palin's kids.
Piper always seems to be by her mother’s side in a lot of the pictures. It’s so cute!!
Peggy Noonan, K. Parker, et al are going to have another melt-down over the ice cream stop.....
