What specifically do you have “disgust” for?
Because most of the rest of the statement flies in the face of that little safety net, provided to stay “hip” with your friends.
The lead singer from Aerosmith said the same thing about not wanting to sit on the sidelines because this election is too important. They’re coming out of the woodwork!

I think that its important to note that these punk-rockers are basically expressing a fiercely libertarian philosophy. I believe a good way to grow conservative ideas in the future and appeal more to young voters and those immigrants from opressive regimes is to frame more of our policies in the terms described in this article.

well damn... you’re going to catch some flack for sure, mate! though i see your label is focused on the raunchier old-school stuff and i’ve known some damn philosophically hardcore conservative guys in that scene. basically, we still hate hippies for @#$%^ing up the music and for turning our - let’s face it - reactionary music world into an annoying scene full of of smelly causeheads! you shoulda been here a decade ago - all sorts of old punks would sometimes come out of the woodwork. i’m still amazed at one who made an appearance, considering the label his band was on.

Interesting and well stated commentary, coming from someone who produces records by punk rockers. Definitely not what you’d expect from someone in that line of work.
I can certainly agree with every sentiment expressed there.
