Good heavens, did you read my post? I never said Obama wasn’t a leftist. Or that I think he won’t try to shove Marxist policies down our throats.
My point was that the fact he was elected does not mean that voters are any more leftward leaning this year than normal. Just that they were fooled into believing he’s not as radical as he really is.
Uh, guys...this is from a Chicago area paper, talking about how Hussein won “Republican” areas in his OWN STATE...near his OWN CITY. Hardly a big deal, imo.
C’mon. There are more things to worry about than native Illinoians voting another Illinois guy in. B’sides, it isn’t like he NEEDED those votes.
“Were the Chavez owned voting machines used there?”
That’s what I’m thinking.
Chavez has already offered to come for a visit.
Russia is deploying nukes near the Poland frontier.
My apologies, I’m really not firing on all burners today.
I just can’t take it when people try to minimize the danger Obama represents to the nation.
Calm down. I wasn’t using the term “politician” as a compliment.
I am no fan of Obama. But being blind to his strengths is just ignorant if we are serious about fighting him.
I assure you I am well aware of the danger he poses to me and my family. I’m on your side, believe me.
I feel like I have personally been through 3 Sept. 11th events in a role.
I am positively drained of almost all emotion and interest.
I feel like what I try to do for my country will never matter again, so why try?
I feel absolutely dead inside.
Right now is when we need to fight the hardest.
“Right now is when we need to fight the hardest.”
I got that message and I know you’re right.
I’m just searching for the energy.
The hill that must be srmounted now seems SOOOO steep.
I’m also fearful that freedom of speech will become more limitedly allowed. SOON.
Not to be personal, but I imagine that you are well meaning. Many fools are.
I think I can safely guarantee you that, one year from now, very few people in those “heavily-Republican suburbs” will admit to having voted for Obama.
You could see it on his face at the speech last night: he knows he’s not ready for this job.
I don’t think he imagined he’d get the nomination, let alone win the Presidency, this time out.
I must be completely out of touch. I’m in a suburb of New Orleans and it went more than 75% for McCain. Other suburbs of New Orleans went 71.2% ,66%, 64.8% and 62.5% for McCain. What is wrong with these other blockheads in northern state suburbs? Is the desire to forge a facade of intellectualism by voting for a liberal preferable to voting for someone who is most likely to act in your own and the country’s best interests?
What we do early could well make the difference between the deaths of hundreds versus the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

If you don’t mind, please tell me what I wrote that was foolish.
Not sure what your complaint is with me. I’m not endorsing Obama.
Now that is very odd.
All-in-all, I had the impression that Don and Roma were quite represemtative of those in the suburbs.
In short, the results in this story make me suspicious that other influences were at work in the vote tallies.

Well I can report that to a man, or woman, out on our suburban soccer fields tonight—we were not amused at the outcome of the election.
We decided to make the best of it, and planned a party for January 20 at which we will serve absinthe, the party favors are going to little beribboned tubs of Vaseline, and our guest speaker will be a colleague of mine who is a wealth protection specialist. We may invite a gun dealer, too. And we’ll pass out copies of the Constitution.
It will be the party of the year. We were serious!
In your #47, you described exactly how I feel today. I feel so nothing.
I’m sure it will change and I will get back into it again, but I will never look at that man without critiquing his every word and action.
They’ll be told that it’s the Republicans’ fault and they’ll believe it!
Well, brace yourself for the comparisons. We’re here in Springfield and it’s already beginning...
