It’s impossible for them to hit everyone’s house at once. Unless you’re unfortuate enough to be hit in the first wave you’ll have some warning to move any undocumented weapons you have. Or transition over to predator mode.

Mine is at firearms training this weekend, too. Just left this evening. Not that he doesn’t go regularly anyway, but still. Good timing. ;)

“What would you have done? I’m really curious...”

As I wrote, “...It’s hard to fight when you are alone and the JBT are at the door in their SWAT outfits, and you have no backup to call.”

I have a decoy gun, an old cheap single shot shotgun that I could give them, but if they have accessed the 4473’s and know what ELSE I have...then that’s a choice I dread facing. I have no answer except...whatever the situation calls for. Best I can do today.

I’m not worried about dealers and stores running out of perfectly legal goods.

There’s a rash of panic buying at the moment, and gun stores, like any other sort of retailer, will rapidly re-stock to fill the heightened demand.

There’ll be plenty to be had by the time I get my funds in order.

Add a Remington 870 with a slug barrel and a Taurus ‘Judge’ .45/410 and your all set. Keep your Ruger GP100 in .357 as backup.

Or, band together with your neighbors and fellow patriots to stop the illegal seizure and infringement of your Constitutional rights.

That’s the option I prefer.

Understood on funds. I have been buying ammo for about three months now, and I noticed that as election day grew near, self-defense type ammo began to clear out, and it has not been replaced. After election day, I knew I wanted to pick up some more hollow point and 00 buck, but I did not get around to it until today. I was literally shocked at how slim the pickings were. I hope they restock, because even though I am well stocked, I could feel better with more. I did feel better in a way knowing that I am not the only person hoarding rounds, but I would saying that panicked buying is a huge understatement at this point. I have never seen shelves so bare.

If you can't afford assault rifles or expensive, name brand pistols, take a look at the Hi Point C9 9mm and it's brethren (they also make carbines). It's $130 brand new with a LIFETIME transferable guarantee!!

Two issues would have 20,000,000 Patriots march into DC to the steps of the Capitol:

1). Any attempt to infringe on our right to KABA

2). Any attempt to take away our freedom of speech.

I have a Taurus PT-100 (.40 S&W) already. Watching for a good 12 GA. The shop where I got the 700 had a nice Mossberg 500 with a silver (Marinecoat?) finish, but it had sold already.

They also have a couple of Romanian AK-47s for about $500 each... *ponder*

Don’t worry. Until Obama and his henchmen can somehow overturn the 2nd Amendment, or make ammo illegal, it’s all still legal goods.

The gun dealers are businessmen first, and will rapidly respond to this excellent profit making opportunity with massive re-supplies of stock.

Have no fear.

If gun owners had truly voted en masse against Hussein, he’d be slinking off to Chi-town right now.

Why should they? He and his vice presidential pick said that he wouldn't ban guns, and McCain's silence on the issue seemed to reinforce their assertions. Sure, the NRA did what they could to alert people about Obama's terrible positions on gun freedoms, but it never got any coverage in the news because McCain didn't campaign on the issue.

Instead of blaming the voters, maybe the Republicans should instead look in a mirror. If you want the votes of gun owners, don't run a candidate who wants to ban gun shows. Sure, Obama is a lot worse. But how is the average voter to know that when McCain didn't make gun rights part of his platform?

If anything, gun owners should be telling the Republican party "we told you so". Half the Republican candidates fawned over by many on this site (Giuliani, Romney) had an anti-gun history almost as bad as Obama's. McCain's was better, but still pretty mediocre.

It would have been trivial for McCain and the Republicans to get more gun votes (both Democrat and Republican). But it isn't likely to happen unless the Republican candidate makes an appeal to those voters.

Getting gun voters is easy. All the Republicans would have had to do was promise to reform the more oppressive and stupid parts of federal gun laws (18USC922R, for example) that the Republicans gave us in the first place. Reform the BATFE. Repeal the Hughes amendment. Clarify the 12 gauge shotgun exemption in GCA'68 that was abused by Clinton via executive order. There are any number of things the Republicans could have promised, all of which would've been trivial to implement and many of which would save taxpayer dollars while having no negative impact on the rest of the electorate that could even theoretically cost them a single vote.

But the Republicans can't be bothered to actually do anything for gun owners, even if it just cleaning up their own past misdeeds. The best gun legislation in the past 25 years was the FOPA back in 1986 (despite the vile Hughes amendment), and that was co-introduced by a Democrat (Harold Volkmer).

I have to confess that I do have a bit of fear. I hate to admit that, but sometimes fear can be a good motivator. I do hope that the guns and ammo suppliers take advantage of this situation, because the result will be a very well armed and well supplied citizenry, and that truly gives me comfort. To use a purposefully vague analogy, perhaps if a jack-booted thug knows a hornet’s nest is full to the brim with angry hornets, then he may wisely choose not to disturb that nest.

To: chris37; All; Spunky; ~Kim4VRWC's~; 1COUNTER-MORTER-68; 1035rep; 1curiousmind; 2ndDivisionVet; ...

While buying ammo for my two SigSauers, I discovered that just over 1200 guns had been purchased on this ONE DAY in California and the rise has been attributed to the Obama election victory.

Also Mossberg reports that they have had to increase the manufacture of pistol grip model 500/590 shotguns to meet the significant rise in demand over the past couple of months, which is also apparently attributed to Obama’s election.

People apparently worry that gun sales or purchases will be restricted in an Obama administration and that as matters worsen they will need guns, specially short barrelled shotguns for home protection.

Some gun shops in California repeatedly run out of stocks of ammunition and Mossbergs apppear to be selling like hot cakes.

Note, for home protection low recoil ammunition serves best. and comes both as bullets and shotgun shells.

In this poor economy three items are selling like crazy:
Guns
Ammunition
Canned goods

Build up reserves of food and drinks that do not require refrigeration as electricity may not be around or only sporadically. Drinking water is another essential to have in reserve.

There is an article on http://AntiMullah.com which extensively lists sources for non-perishable food products. Use the “search” option to find it, using “survival, dry food, goods” or keywords like that.

I bought a hand pump that will filter river or lake or swimming pool water and also a battery operated ultraviolet disinfecting “rod” for producing safe though perhaps not tasty drinking water.

We seem to have an increasingly defensive and worried populace arming themselves to face situations which Obama might bring to bear on them, including the million man Civilian Defense forces he wants to use instead of the military, Mostly made up of youths who have to go through his indoctrination camps to be brainwashed before they are unleashed on all of us. With budgets and equipment equal to that of our military.

Does nobody out there really understand what they have done by electing him?

I always thought the semi-literate, mostly uneducated Iranians were idiots and naive in bringing in Khomeini to rule them.

Now I think the American population is no smarter.

What a catastrophe. Already the Russians are making missile threats, and one Russian nationalist observer compares Obama to Gorbachev as the latter is blamed for destroying the USSR and turning Russia into an almost third world country with his Perestroika.

Iran has already sent out warnings to Obama to stay clear of their borders with Iraq and not to interfere with their nuclear activities.

As one world leader said and other pundits have agreed Obama SHALL cause so much damage it will take one or two generations to try to repair his harm (between 25 to 50 years).

Assuming, of course, that our “crash and burn” does not irreperably create a break down of the world economy to an extent that we sink into a morass of no return, where some will survive but tens of millions shall not.

One estimate foresees us going back to virtually horse and buggy times and the surviving USA population, in a barter only economy, will number a scant total of 40 to 50 million people.

The rest will have been killed in neighborhood strife as armed gangs maraud for food and goods and meet armed resistance, while the rest (tens of millions) die from disease and starvation. Nobody, no organization can create a safety net to save so many who will need saving.

All in a matter for a few years if everything goes “south and crashes”. And not just in the USA. Europe will follow suit or be there first.

A doomsday scenario that is far less far fetched than may appear at first blush. Or by an inside the box logic that cannot comprehend what can or is happening.

IN all fairness, it might be impossible for anyone to stop the slide off the cliff but one certanty is there that Obama and his mind sets and philosphy all hasten such an end.

Be well, be happy and try to weather the storm. Like 1929 (or much worse this time) many of us will not make it through the storm. All we can do is try our best. If we (me included) are among those that do not make it, so be it. We can only try.

Blabbermouth Biden spoke the truth, all of us not just Obama are about to be tested - because of Obama.

The catastrophe has begun, what remains is to see how deep it runs in ruining our nation and our well being. Immediate and in the long run.

Again, when the Obama disaster Tsunami hits, we can only pray and try to hope to survive as best we can. That it will come is beyond conjecture. How intense it wil be remains to be seen.

With the players and the pieces on the board, it will not be a recession or depression but a catastrophe, so batten down whatever hatches you can and prepare early for the storm.

Good luck and my best wishes to all of us, we are going to need every drop of luck.

BTW being afraid will not help you, rather it will enfeeble you, so just firm up your inner self and determination to resist or fight whichever you find most suitable to your situation and then say que sera, sera. what will be will be.

Prayers for yourself and others (for me too, please) are powerful and essential.

Prepare and Survive!

FRiend, I tried for months to wake people up- now, they will get "the kind of government they want, and deserve..."

Of course, we don't deserve it, but when just enough voters have been made stupid by the TV and public "education," what can you expect?

I dug in to the grocery money ( neither of us have a job... ) and renewed my membership in the NRA, GOA, and the Second Amendment Foundation. If we'd had more to spare, I'd have rejoined JPFO and the Second Amendment Sisters, too.

Keep these handy...
