Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.

During the months of training they were taught the use of explosives and close quarter combat. It was ingrained upon every man that ammunition would be in short supply and therefore every bullet should count.
The terrorists were also taught marine commando techniques such as beach landings at another camp at the Mangla Dam, located on the border between Pakistan-administered Kashmir and India's Punjab province.
Kamal revealed that once their training was complete, his team of four travelled to the garrison town of Rawalpindi, where they were joined by another six terrorists, who had been trained at other camps close by.
It was in Rawalpindi that the 10-man team were briefed in detail with digitised images of their prospective targets – the Taj Mahal and Oberoi Hotels, the Jewish Centre and the Victoria Terminus railway station. Each member of the team memorised street names and routes to each location. Kamal told his interrogators that most of the targeting information came from a reconnaissance team which had selected the targets earlier in the year.
There is NO WAY this was NOT an ISI operation. And even if it was not it was smiled upon by same as it would be impossible to mount such an effort in Pakistan without the ISI knowing all about it.
If it wasn’t for the fact that the radioactivity would drift our way and be very bad .... I’d encourage India to nuke the pakis. They’d get nuked back but India can afford to lose a few million and not even feel it. They could bomb Pakistan back to the stone age where they belong.

I have seen a story where this atack had been planned and in work for about a year...
That means to me that even with all the best intelligence out there, we are only going to be in a reaction mode when the attack(s) they have in store for the American populace come to fruition...
I generally hope for the best, but plan for the worst...
And nothing I have seen so far would keep a determined enemy from exploiting the exact same vunerabilities we have in this country, as were exploited in India...

Like you said...If someone can throw out an estimate like that, whatever the accuracy of the count...I would say that 40K too many...And why the pressure is not on who we suspect of being within that 40K are not being pressed is beyond me...

(IsraelNN.com) Details of the tragic aftermath of the terrorist massacre in Mumbai’s Chabad House have become available.
WARNING: some readers may find the descriptions disturbing.
The bodies of Chabad-Lubavitch emissary, Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, and kashrus inspector Aryeh Leibish Teitelbaum, were found in the Mumbai Chabad House library, with holy books in front of them. According to ZAKA emergency service, the body of the Rabbi’s wife Rivka was found covered with a tallit, which her husband had managed to cover her with.
The bodies of the two other women who were killed along with Rivka Holtzberg were found tied with telephone cables. The women had apparently been bound before they were killed.

ZAKA volunteers in Mumbai Chabad House ZAKA ZAKA prevent autopsies “After security forces completed the takeover of the Chabad House, ZAKA volunteers undertook the task of locating and extricating the bodies of the missing,” ZAKA announced. “Six bodies were located and extricated during the course of the Sabbath. The operation was undertaken among the ruins despite risk of life, and the danger from exposed grenades,” the hareidi-run group said.
ZAKA emissaries reportedly struggled through the Sabbath to prevent the bodies of the Jewish victims from being taken by local authorities for autopsies.
The sole terrorist who survived the Mumbai attacks told police that the attack on Chabad House was part of the squads’ original plan. The terrorists planned to take hostages from the hotels and Chabad House and then use them to bargain for safe passage out of Mumbai, according to the Times of India.
Israeli pathologist being sent Israeli officials said Saturday night that it appeared that Rabbi Holtzberg and his wife Rivka were killed during the first hours of the takeover of Beit Chabad by terrorists.
Voice of Israel Radio reported that nine bodies were found in Mumbai’s Chabad House, and apparently seven were Israeli. Three have not yet been identified. Israel is sending a forensic pathology specialist to Mumbai to assist in the identification.
