If the government really wants to make sure that poor people have health care, give it to them. Use the same tax increases you would use for national healthcare but only do it for the poor. Common sense would dictate that it wouldn’t cost near as much therefore less of a tax would be required.
The reason they won’t go down that road is that they won’t be able to steal and redirect all the money now going into health insurance. So, they will make sure that those of us who are now able to pay for insurance have all the choice taken out of our healthcare and have treatment options severely limited so that they can control our money as they see fit.
Remember, these guys are all brain damaged ~ and should be pitied even as we kick them to the curb.
For roughly forty years, and 2008 as well, it's been liberals, that is liberals who have exhibited orgasmic glory whenever the economy took a header. Now that the crash SHOULD really impact liberal fantasies, why, it's the conservatives who are, what, at fault?
Not gona’ do it, Not gona’ do it, Not gona’ do it, Gona’ do it!
John Laird, What is the opposite of Above ME!?
I'm sorry but I just ain't gunna go for the premise.
In one of the stupidest, most ill conceived sentences I have ever read, he admits to the defeat strategy of the loony left and infers some morbid twisted connection between a desire for smaller government and "conservative created" recession - thats just nutz.
Last I checked, Gregoire the Usurper is still the Governor in Washington State, this lib is barking up the wrong tree.
As usual, not that cutting State budgets is a bad thing, rather if one is going to start handing out credit or blame, he could at least be accurate..
It just can't be put any more succinctly and accurately than that.
That sums it up nicely. Unfortunately, that "someone else" tends to be conservative taxpayers who continue to carry the democrat deadbeats year after year. And, of course, those deadbeats continue to vote for a free ride year after year.
Government spending isn’t compassion.
Government spending isn’t compassion.
Government spending isn’t compassion.
Government spending isn’t compassion.
Government spending isn’t compassion.
Government spending isn’t compassion.
OK, I said it enough for a 3 year old to understand, but this guy still won’t get it.
They are? That's the FIRST I've heard of any local, state, much less Federal gov't contemplating cutting ANYTHING. All I hear is that we need to grow the gov't, borrow more $ to squander, bail-out every wasteful entity and poorly run business except for the taxpayer or future taxpayers, at least the ones who are not in hock to their eyeballs, of course.
I'll know whether to take this seriously after I see Mr Laird's charitable contrbutions for the last five years or so.
Why are liberals so smarmy?
How about this. We start a “voluntary” fund for health care. Anyone can contribute whatever they want to this fund. Then, the country will be taxed to an amount equal to contributions made to this fund. That way, everyone’s forced compassion would be equal to the voluntary compassion of the donors. Of course, the voluntary donors wound still be subject to the tax. The libs can put their money where their mouth is.
Why doesn’t Washington state raise the money through taxing those like this writer who believe that it is everyone else’s responsibility to pay for the poor’s healthcare? I mean I’m sure he wouldn’t be bothered by 60% tax from his state afterall it is for the poor?
Liberals never ever consider that these “poor” people should’ve thought about how they were going to feed and take care of their children before they started producing them? No one has to be born into poverty, adoption is perfectly legal in this country.
Health care isn’t a right, if you can’t pay for it you don’t deserve it!
LOL! Lots of NorCal alternative holistic free-range, abortion-having, Obama-loving, theosophy-embracing vegetarians around here would pass the f*uck OUT if they read/heard that! You are hilarious, Lazamataz.
Indeed.
If Bill Gates and George Soros want the poor to have health care — leth them pay for it directly!
