yea the article is not very accurate.
Franken is not trying to get those 62 votes counted. He is using the 62 affidavits as evidence that the 2000 absentee ballots which were illegally rejected should be counted.

Don’t insult Kirby salesmen. My husband used to sell Kirbys.

Dammit, I love those big chrome Kirbys. If anyone wants to talk about heavy duty, they need to look at Kirby. When price is no object, Kirby is king.
A guy in my HS class sold Kirbys and developed a sales force in the western states that sold hundreds every year. Whenever I think about hard work selling a high priced article, I think of Kirby.

Are you implying that the 2000 absentee ballots were
illegally rejected or are you saying that that was Franken's contention?
In the article, John Fund says that this is not illegal, but is unethical - fishing for votes for your candidate and ignoring any that may fall to your opponent. Completely slimy.

When price is no object, Kirby is king. Kirby can't hold a candle to the old Electrolux canister vacuums. Electrolux really sucks!

Yes that is Franken's contention that 2000 ballots were illegally rejected.

“He can cherry pick. It is absurd on the face of it.”
That is why I am soooooo glad they stopped the ridiculous recount in Florida 2000.

A Kirby setup would traditionally weigh over 200 pounds. How’re you gonna match that ?
To: Eric in the Ozarks
Are you trying to compensate for something? :p

You won’t see Al Franken looking for military who’s absentee ballots got trashed because the Dems don’t like the way they vote.

Just curious. Are you Missouri Ozarks, or Arkansas Ozarks?

"Is this STILL going on?" Remember 2000? 2001? On 9-10 the headlines in the NY Times was still meaningless Florida recounts and what-ifs.

The reason I was asking was because my husband was raised in northern Arkansas.

We have lived in a half dozen states. Got married here and always wanted to come back. After the Minnesota winter of 00-01, we made the decision to sell the snowmobiles and go south.
To: Eric in the Ozarks
We needed the snowmobiles here in New Orleans yesterday.

This is really getting absurd. Elections mean nothing in this country anymore. I mean, why bother to have them at all if the candidates can go back afterward and alter the results to come out like they want them? Just go out and find a bunch of people you know will support you and get them to sign affidavits to the effect that they were “illegally disenfranchised”, and force the elections board to go back and add to your totals. Under those “rules”, you can get “elected” anywhere to any post you want. Like I said, why bother with elections?
