It's not an issue of taking over the GOP. The GOP is tainted and will be even more tainted by the coming economic mess which the MSM which is how most Americans get their news will paint as a GOP created disaster. Republicans will in effect own the depression much as they did the last one. Only a new untainted party has any hope of taking back the country. The country club republicans that got us into this morass are and Will still be in charge of the party. Reagan made the mistake of compromising with them (Bush 1) and not sacking the rinos out of the party. The result is that they used Conservatives for their votes while at the same time playing go along to get along with the left. The result is that we now have a solidly democratic power base which will be difficult to extricate and a populace that will see little incentive to vote GOP as long as they believe that republicans are responsible for the economic mess because the MSM told them so.

“Only a new untainted party has any hope of taking back the country. “

A)No “taint” is permanent. Especially in the land of short attention spans.

B)Any new party would be made up of people who were Republicans and would be labeled (correctly) by the media as the same party with a different name.

Anyway this silliness is not happening.

The country club republicans that got us into this morass are and Will still be in charge of the party.

It is a very sad fact that we need every RINO we can get. I'd be happy to replace them with conservatives but alone, we do not have the votes to win an election. This is a fact. It takes at least 50 percent plus one to win an election.

Let's look at this realistically.

I want to defeat RINOS in primaries but we must hold together in general elections.

OK Einstein,

Explain to us how you are going to go from zero members in Congress to a majority.

If you don't have a the majority, you are just another stumbling block.
