Al Franken cannot yet legally be named the winner of Minnesota's troubled senatorial contest despite the swell of partisan support pushing to end election challenges and seat the former Saturday Night Live comic, according to the head of the nation's largest organization of Republican lawyers.

Thielen, executive director of the Republican National Lawyers Association, tells Newsmax' Ashley Martella in an exclusive video interview that Minnesota's recount efforts have been "consistently inconsistent" and plagued by "outright fraud." As a result, it will require court intervention to sort out the election mess and determine a certifiable candidate, he adds.

Is this guy really part of the RNC? I hope so but it kind of sounds like a separate group of Republicans.

If MN has allowed the vote to get this close, give them what they must truly want … Frankinclown. In a few years, mayhap the will reconsider.

I wouldn’t get too excited. It is becoming increasingly clear that the judicial system is just another branch of the Democrat party. We’re not really a nation ruled by laws anymore.

Thanks for that bedtime image.

What's the phrase they used to use regarding the Senate?

Oh yeah...

"The world's most deliberative body."

"The world's most deliberative body."

I guess it depends on what the definition of "deliberative" is...

I don't like to use the term “hate” when describing my feelings for people.

But I'm really starting to hate his effing guts.

That picture makes me want to kick his teeth in.

It’s a skit from Saturday Night Live. It’s semi-real, I guess.

From the article: "...it will require court intervention to sort out the election mess and determine a certifiable candidate"

We already know who the certifiable candidate is.    ;^)

U-h-h-h-h ... well, it's even worse than that. The phrase is "world's greatest deliberative body."

The phrase is "world's greatest deliberative body."

What an arrogant, presumptious, and un-substantiable claim!

What does the phrase "world's greatest deliberative body" actually mean?

It's not the oldest - Britain's Parliament is older, it doesn't represent the World's largest Democracy, that would be India.

It has no claim to have the best minds - Kennedy?, Kerry? any number of crooks and morons you could name..

So just WHAT makes it the "world's greatest deliberative body"?

They have delusions of adequacy.

There is also a commercial where Franken converses with a tub of Parkay butter and a baked potato. I found a copy on an old video tape a while back.
