WASHINGTON – The "War on Terror" is losing the war of words.
The catchphrase burned into the American lexicon hours after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, is fading away, slowly if not deliberately being replaced by a new administration bent on repairing the U.S. image among Muslim nations.
Since taking office less than two weeks ago, President Barack Obama has talked broadly of the "enduring struggle against terrorism and extremism." Another time it was an "ongoing struggle."
He has pledged to "go after" extremists and "win this fight." There even was an oblique reference to a "twilight struggle" as the U.S. relentlessly pursues those who threaten the country.

Not to worry, it will return soon enough. Obama and the democrats weakness and the rolling back of Bush policies that kept Americans safe will inevitably lead to future attacks on America and it’s interests. Jihadists love weakness.
I am going to say this outloud...This guy acts like a double agent. Think about it...Clinton was (is) just as liberal and he didn’t act like this.

That seems awfully aggressive. Doesn't he mean: “seek to engage other parties in a dispute resolution process”?

Obama is doing precisely what the Clintons would have done—treat this whole “war on terror” thing like it was a one-time event done by a few ne’er do wells. No need to invade Iraq or even Afghanistan, we could have negotiated to round up a couple of dozen “extremists” who in no way reflect the feelings of a large group of people, and put them in an American prison, and everything would have worked out so much better. Saddam would still rule Iraq, the Taliban would still rule Afghanistan, and the world would love us.
That’s how Obama sees the world. He thinks people are all the same, and we just have to hang out, have some drinks and smokes, and settle our differences, shouldn’t take more than a few hours.

the liberal MSM already were told not to use war on terrorisim, terrorists in their reporting years ago. it is only now becoming a Obamalaw and order.
While the phrase Wwar on Terror might be fading, the term Alinskyites describing the Hussein administration is on the ascendancy. Recalling the Trotskyites of the Bolshevick era, the Alinskyites become the ruling class of the American devolution.
No doubt they'll soon credit the Obama foreign policy with this success.
