EXCISE TAXES RAISE $336 MILLION FOR WILDLIFE . . . When a target shooter purchases a box of ammunition or a hunter a new deer rifle, they are contributing to a system that has been responsible for supporting healthy wildlife populations in America for the last 70 years. These contributions, in the form excise taxes paid on sporting firearms, ammunition and archery equipment, benefit every state and amount to a surprisingly large number: nearly $336 million for 2009, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Next time some PETA person talks to you of the evils of hunting, ask them how much their organization has donated to the conservation of wildlife!

According to an NRA report, Obama wants to 5x the tax.”

NObama wans to 5X the tax—at the same time that he wants to ban ammo and take our guns.

Does the figure calculated in the above story also reflect all the money in the supporting undustries?
L L Bean Scheels Cabela’s

All the suppliers of every kind of hunting gear ever made or sold???
The jobs of the contractors and workmen who build the buildings like the new Cabela’s and the new Scheels in Reno, Nevada?
The jobs that each of these stores create???

The eventual increase in the wildlife who then will eat the crops we depend upon?

Do any of these freaks ever think beyond the end of their nose?

This is the small money. Doesn’t include licenses, hunting gear, food, etc.

Nope, It’s a common fact, one can’t be liberal and rational at the same time.

The 5x tax would be about $350 tax on a $500 hunting rifle.
